a Dholki?

Any of you have any recommendations that we can play at my cousin's Dholki this upcoming weekend? Usually I'm good at this music stuff (especially when it comes to Bollywood music), but this time nothing is really coming to mind.

Here's is what I have on my itunes playlst so far for the Dholki -

Sadi Gali

Gal Mithi Mithi Bol

Ainvayi Ainvayi

...

😕

...and that's all. Are there any special "Dholki songs" out there that I maybe don't know of?

The Mehndi/Sangeet is a week later and the DJ will take care of the music arrangements for that function so I'm not too worried about that. But for this, every suggestion will be helpful and appreciated!

Oh and I want to have 'mallo malli' playing at the Dholki as well (just cuz it sounds good lol), but in order for that to happen, I first need to know what it means. So could anyone also tell me who or what is a 'mallo malli?'

Mallo Malli means Zabardasti...

Lemme think of dholki songs, there's fb discussion going on about this cuz my cuz is getting married too in November, but we are having dholkis now. 😆

Shab Simran told me mallo malli means to be forced to do somehting..I think the example she used was something like: you don't wanna go shopping but your mom mallo malli makes you go..

Ok and umm please excuse my ignorance but is a dholki like a sangeet? 😕😳 Actually I am assuming it is 😆

but some nice dancing songs are: Nagadda nagadda, mauja hi mauja..

I'll come up with some more...btw what kind of songs do you want?

Since dholkis are usually with girls (girls night sort of), mehendi is with everyone, I think you can go really crazy in dholki with any sorta numbers.
