Geet also laughed and signed out. She herself was quite happy, just like Maan. Geet was in fully great mood the whole day and she dragged Pari to the amusement park with her and they had fun. Later on after having lunch, they went to watch the latest movie in theater and went other places. Finally retiring home after having dinner outside. They had decided to meet near the cafe in the morning and then leave together for the airport.

Chapter 12

You never know when you meet someone who becomes a friend' without seeing' without meeting' Sometimes a stranger becomes our close friend' a friend that you can never live without.

But not everyone is lucky'Not everyone has friends' That is true. It's Harsh but reality. Now, back to our story'

Geet didn't think she will continue her chat with Maan. He did become her good friend. They shared same pain and they felt at peace talking to each other. At least that's what both thought about the other. Still, they were strangers. Him a stranger to her and she a stranger to him. A stranger she never meet. A stranger he never met. But she couldn't control herself from smiling whenever she thought of him. Same went for Maan.

INDIA

Early morning, Geet showered and getting her bags ready, she left glancing back at the house for one last time. She knew her life was about to take a big turn. She just didn't have the idea on how much it was going on to. She met Pari at the cafe. Geet: 'Oh My God! Pari, what the h**l is this?!'

Pari ignored her language and grabbed her in a tight hug. Geet struggles and forces her off her. She was practically choking her. Geet caught her breath then continued, 'What? Are you crazy?'

Pari pulled her to a table inside while saying, 'You want me to answer the first question or second?'

Geet getting frustrated: 'Both!'

'Obviously you can see that that's my luggage. For second, Yes, I am crazy. I am going to US! I'm going to meet Maan Singh Khurana! Anyone would be crazy after this. It's a dream come true.'

'I'm happy for you. But seriously, you aren't going to live there you're whole life! Geet wondered for a second hearing the name Maan Singh Khurana.

'You never know.' and she winked. Getting a cup of coffee for Pari, they left soon. After getting past all the security systems, they boarded the plane before anyone else. If they wanted, they could have had their own private jet. They wanted to experience this though.

Pari entwined her hands into Geet's and looking up, smiling, she said, 'US, here I come.' she looked at Geet. Changed her sentence saying, 'Here we come!'

Both smiled and slid down in their chair just waiting'

According to the rules, no one is allowed to have their cell-phones or any other electronic items on during take-off and landing. Since there was time for take-off, Geet decided to use her cell phone to surf the net for fun. Pari was already busy looking at fashion magazine. Geet had no interest in that as for now. Suddenly, a thought struck to her. She logged into her FB account without re-thinking.

USA
Maan had a late meeting. As much as he wanted to fall asleep after the tiring day, he couldn't. To keep himself awake, he logged into his Yahoo and FB account. He saw that Geet had sent him request on his Yahoo Messenger. He gave a big smile while accepting it. All his tiredness vanished in thin air. He, then, logged out of Yahoo and stayed on FB. He was finding different things on FB. Some were interesting. Again, he had tons of friend requests from Girls. From those girls, one girl used to go to his college and they did do few projects together since he had no choice but to work with her.

He remembered how he tried to flirt with her once and she, just like all other girls, gave in as not able to resist his charms. Then the next day, her brother had found out and was after him. Maan decided to stay away from her as much as possible. After all, at that time, he did know how to fight and had muscles, but he didn't use them. He used them in helping him to run. Vicky had a big laugh on this later on and Maan couldn't get him to stop laughing'

Now, Maan laughed at it and deleted her friend request. He could take down her brother now in a second. But why bother when it could be neglected. Just then Geet showed up as online in his online friends list.

Maan: 'Hey'

Geet was surprised that Maan sent her message as soon as she got on. Mostly surprised because usually it would be Geet sending him a message and he would be busy and replying late. Smiling, Geet replied back, 'Hi! How are you?'

Maan: 'I'm fine. You?'

Geet: 'Same. How come you are online this late?'

Maan: 'I have a late night meeting. So trying to keep myself awake. You awake this early?'

Geet: 'Oh. Ya. M on the plane ryt now.'

Maan: 'Oh. You already boarded? That's nice. You must be using ur cell?'

Geet: 'Ya. How do you know?'

Maan: 'I travel all the time. Who would know better than me?'

Geet: 'Ah! True. So how much time before your meeting?'

Maan: 'Half hour left. Why?'

Geet: 'Just asking. Even half hour for me till plane takes off.'

Maan: 'Perfect. Have you figured out where you'll be staying? Meaning which state?'

Geet: 'Nope Not yet.'

Maan: 'Too bad.'

Geet: 'It is. Do you have a nick-name?'

Maan: 'My dadi gave me one. But no. Not really. Why?'

Geet: 'Great. Mind if I give you one?'

Maan: 'Why would you want to?'

Geet: 'I don't know. I just want to. Maybe because I've given nick-names to all my friends.'

Maan smiled: 'So I'm your friend too now?'

Geet smirked: 'If I'm asking if I can give you a nick-name then what does it tell you?'

Here Geet goes! Answering questions with another question. Her old habit. She would drive people mad whenever she did that. But in this case, Maan laughed. No one had dared to answer Maan with a question before. This girl was surely doing things to him no one has ever managed to do. He replied: 'I'll take that as a yes. ND yes, you can.'

Geet: 'You didn't get mad!'

Maan: 'Huh?' he thought why would I get mad?!

Geet: 'I mean whenever I answer people with a question they get mad.'

Maan smiled: 'Well, Geet. Let's say I'm not one of them. Instead I had smiled when you said that.'

Geet: 'Why would you smile?'

Maan: 'Because no one has ever dared to reply to Maan Khurana like the way you did.'

Geet: 'Oh! I just had an amazing idea.'

Maan: 'What?'

Geet: 'See, since you always keep on bragging about your name, I've decided to call you MK.'

Maan: Wow! I like that name. wonder why no one else thought of it!'

Geet: 'How would they. After all, Geet is here.'

They chatted for 15 more minutes than Maan had to leave. He said, 'Ok. Got to go. It was really great talking to you. Happy journey.'

Geet: 'Bye. Thanx. Have nice meeting.'

Maan: 'Ha-ha. C Ya.'

Both were happy again. Maan went to the meeting and due to his happy nature, all went well and they got the deal. The flight took off and before only Pari was excited to go to US. Now, somewhere deep down. Even Geet seemed excited. A smile on her face told everything to Pari. She didn't have to explain to her to know that she was happy as well.

They were high up in the sky. Everyone had fallen asleep around them. Geet couldn't fall asleep. She lifted the window cover next to her and looked outside. When she looked at the map in front of her, it told her they were flying across Greenland. She was surprised at the sight she was looking at. It was beautiful. Nothing had ever seemed more beautiful and amazing to her in her whole life. It was a breath-taking scene. Ice all over the place with crust lines visible at some points.

(Guys, if you ask me that is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my whole life. I have seen it and trust me, to me; it feels as if nothing can look better than that. Tops my list! )

She took a deep breath and closed her eyes as if to remember this moment and cherish it forever. She reacted the same way anyone else would at seeing such a sight. Pari moved beside her as the bright light was outside bothered her. Looking at it again, she softly closed the window and started listening to her music and fell asleep.

Maan had an early meeting as well the next day. He set his alarm clock hoping he would wake up on time. He pulled the curtains and fell asleep in no time. He woke up even before the alarm clock went off. Stretching, he sat up and looked at the clock. It read 5:30. Surprised at himself he went to pull the curtains aside and open the window. He walked out to his balcony and looked at sky. It was dark but not that much. The sun's first ray hadn't touched the sky yet but it felt as if it would be soon. He smiled breathing in the morning dew scent, "Wow! Never knew waking up this early would feel so nice. Refreshing! (To sun) see, I'm awake even before you have!"

He was in mood to go jogging after long time. He changed and left. He was back by 6:15 and got ready, had his breakfast and left his house exactly at 7:00.

He met Jane outside. He said, 'Hey sexy!'

Jane: 'Hey. Good morning Maan! I saw you awake long ago. You feeling ok na?' and checked for fever.'

Maan: 'Good morning love. And M fine. Here are my keys.'

'Alright. Well, Maan, are you going to tell the reason of your big and happy smile?' asked Jane.

Maan laughed. 'Nothing honey. Tell you later. I am in hurry right now.'

'Ok go. Best of luck.'

Maan: 'You know I don't need it. Thanks anyways.' Kissing her on the check he hurried off.

He didn't know the twist that destiny had in store for him. He reached to his bike and took off. In about 15 minutes he reached to his office. On his way, his mind was on Geet. And he kept on smiling. He parked his bike and turned around to go to his office when suddenly he got hit with someone. He looked and saw it was a girl. All he could do was just simply look at her long brownish hair green eyes, pink lips. He had never seen anyone like her before (off course he hasn't seen Geet yet).

She was a Hispanic girl. In his mind he said, 'DAMN! She's hot!' She said, 'I'm so sorry.'

Maan came back to his senses. 'It's okay. Hi, I'm Maan.'

She giggled, 'Who wouldn't know you! I'm Ana.'

They shaked hands. Nice meeting you Ana. What are you doing here?'

Ana: 'I had come to meet my sister here. She works here.'

Maan: 'Emma?'

Ana asked with surprised tone, 'How do you know her?'

'She's my very good friend. Also, both your name sounds alike.'

'Yes. She's my step sister but I love her more than anything.'

This made him think of Geet. He remembered how Geet told him that she loves his step-brother Yash more than anything and just like real brother. Never considered him a step.

Just was Maan was about to say something, Vicky comes there and says in his ear so Ana doesn't hear. 'Flirt later on. She's going nowhere. Clients are already here.' And pulled him from there.

Maan: 'What clients?' and went back to look at her.

Vicky: The meeting. Remember?'

Maan: 'Oh yea.' He said sadly. Maan waved bye to her and in his mind cursed the clients for popping in at wrong time. Actually, they were right on time. But for him, they were no on. ;)

Ana waved back and left giving him a smile.

It was night time in India. It had been a day and few hours since they had left India. They had their dinner long ago and only one hour was left for them to land in New York. Flight attendants came with their breakfast. Geet wasn't in mood to eat anything. She didn't even have proper dinner. The food they gave her made her loose her appetite. She had a toast and juice just to keep herself from falling out. Her ears felt light when they were close to landing. After few seconds they landed, they came back to normal.

(It's a side effect that one gets due to temperature/altitude drop when one is in sky and when they come back down. In case you didn't know why this happened.)

It was winter time and in New York that too. It was definitely cold. They passed things through faster system and they were out in no time. A shiny black car was waiting for them when they came out. It was a 7 seated car and with all the advanced technology. Driver took their luggage and after Geet sat down Pari gave some instructions to him and slid in the seat next to Geet from the other side.

When Geet asked her 'What did you say?' with her eyes, Pari just closed her eyes shaking her head 'nothing' and looked ahead.

In while Geet asked, 'How long will it be till we reach?'

Pari: 'Relax. It's going to be about 20 minute drive from here.'

Geet: 'Where exactly are we going?'

Pari: 'Somewhere in New York.'

Geet gave her a 'duh!' look and angrily looked outside the window. Soon when the car came to a stop outside a big house, she stepped out. Driver took the luggage in first. Both stood there admiring the building and it's architecture from outside. Just as they were about to enter the big gates, Geet saw a movement close to her. She nudged Pari and both walked over to the tree.

As they moved closer they heard some moaning voice. When in clear view, they saw a boy and girl kissing each other. Geet gasped making both of them separate and they were flushed that their 'master' had caught them red-handed.

She said in her head: 'Disgusting! Chi babaji. What is this?!' (to them) 'Get lost'

Without looking up to her, both left feeling truly embarrassed. Geet looked at Pari who burst of laughing. Geet looked at her as if she's crazy.

Geet: 'What?'

Pari controlled it and decided not to tell her as it would be an awkward conversation. 'Nothing. Let's go eat some proper food. I know you haven't eaten properly.'

Geet stomped off: 'Fine' she hates it when people hide things from her and make it obvious that they are hiding it.

Pari followed her and after freshening up they had good breakfast. Geet loved the inside of the house just as much as she loved the outside. But, all the more, she couldn't stop loving her new room.

Sure, she missed her room back in India. After all, she had designed it herself and decorated it all by herself using her imagination. (I'll post a picture of her new soon by next update)
