On television, while we find dutiful daughters and bahus, there are a few women who hold on to their principles in their life – no matter what. We take a look at some important characters currently on television, who have certain principles in life which they uphold against all odds.

Pratigya in Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya
A caring and loving family oriented woman, Pratigya believes in being righteous. Though she is supportive of her family, she never shies away from walking the path of truth – even if it means going against her brother when he was jailed, her jeth when he tried to kill his wife, her sister when she married the wrong man and her own husband who didn't believe her. Pratigya has the courage to stand-up to right a wrong. Recently, she went against her father-in-law when he went for a second marriage to an under-aged Ganga.
