Hiten fell in love at first sight when he saw Gauri while shooting the Breeze commercial 5 years ago but love between the two blossomed only later when they did a serial called 'Kutumb' together. Gauri is an introvert and takes time to make friends so it wasn't love at first sight for her. Hiten took care of Gauri on the sets of 'Kutumb'. Since she is a fussy eater he would get her to try out different things from his tiffin. Their courtship lasted for around 2 years.
Gauri and Hiten fight as Gauri is a cleanliness freak and Hiten keeps spoiling the cupboard that she neatly arranges. Gauri wants their first child to be a girl whereas Hiten wants a baby boy.
Hiten and Gauri got married in Gauri's hometown, Pune. They actually bribed the Pandit to finish the marriage in half an hour. Gauri is extremely accident prone and on their honeymoon in Koso Mui (Thailand) Gauri fell in the pool and broke her toe. Hiten actually called an ambulance to take her to the hospital. Her toe had to be operated and she was in terrible pain.
