Savita - Manav's Aai?

Savita is a miserable and pathetic woman who is just a mother in the biological sense and not in the real nurturing sense. She has been a terrible mother to her three children. In the first place, the only reason she agreed to the Manav –Archana marriage was because Archana's family was in a better financial position than hers. She then managed to take all control of Archana's "stree-dhan" by sweet talking innocent and gullible Archana. As for her second son, he was spoilt rotten and raised as an irresponsible young man (anyone remember the time before he was magically reformed as a studious US visa seeker?). Even her "laadla beta" Sachin at doubted if his Aai would ever understand that Shravani meant so much to him instead of being his golden goose. And her only daughter, she was OK with getting her married off to Ajit – her past and present abuser and molester! What kind of mother supports this kind of disgusting act? Well off course, the Savita kind.

Savita has even been to the extreme of wanting to get her older son married to the deceased son's pregnant girlfriend for the sake of money. This was done at the expense of distancing her son from the proclaimed love of his life – but did Manav's Aai care? Is she really an Aai of any sort or just a deranged scum of a woman?

Savita pined in grief for her son when he left to live separately with Archana, after he remarried her. She supposedly almost went crazy with despair when Sachin passed away but did she ever pine for sweet Vandu- who she also gave birth to? Vandu who is continually abused in several ways by Ajit and his mother – and who is in that ditch because her own family put her there!

This woman/character really doesn't seem to get even a fraction of what being a mother means – she should be abhorred and left suffer her own company or may be in the exclusive company of her husband Damodar who doesn't really doesn't even deserve a mention – his character is only a prop meant to evoke viewer disgust.

But I would say Savita is a good mother, she fights a lot for her own children. She never supports Ajit when he does wrong to her children, she is jut being fooled right now by Ajit and Rasika.

Vandu's family did not have Ajit and Vandu marry. It was Ajit and Rasika who forced Vandu to marry her and Vandu decided yes because she did not want Ajit to do bad to her family.

I agree that sometimes Savita can be a bit harsh, but she is a good mother and a good person in general.

Savita may be harsh at times but she is waaay better mother compared to Sulo or Rassi..She protects her children and fights for them like a sherni..

She has been married to a loser-bevda of husband for 30+ yrs and has single handedly managed to raise her 3 kids and support her husband..She is loving-caring and smart lady..She is currently hurt and taken advantage of by Evil Rassi...But not for tooo long..Savita will take good care of evil duo Rassi-Ajit just wait and watch.

But I respect OPs opinion as we all have right to one..

@All Savita Supporters- After today's episode you still think Savita is what you thought of her earlier? Manav should buy a house for Vandita and her family? Of course! he should becuase that's his kartavya! And Archana should tow along too coz that's what good wives do! Her family is now the Deshmukh familty.

Savita is being generous at the expense of Soham and Archana- Manav's marraige. They already foot the expenses of taking care of Sachin Jr (did Savita have the means to take good care of him when she brain-washed his mom to give him up?), Damodar's rehab, Archana's mom and not to mention the very important secretary Sundri, Savita's Mahila Mandal expenses etc etc.

Savita is party to the crime being perpetrated by Rasika and Co. thanks to her not wanting to use her brain (as opposed to not being able to use it). That makes her a criminal just like Rasika - even more so becuase she is doing it to her own child.
