Today episode has left me with more questions than answers...
Dev and Rohan- Rohan's manipulation was subtle today...he comes in and very meekly asks for forgivence...also reminds Dev that that he himself was not interested in the Rajpurohiti...and that dada made the right choice because only Dev can be the perfect RP...so hinting that no one is the better candidate than DEV...but Dev is not paying any attention and is quiet...Dev has his face turned away, looks like he is not convinced by Rohans talks...Rohan at the door smirks and goes away...
Now Radhika and Kanha part- she says that what is important is not her marriage to KK and nor her promise to dada...what is important is the need of the people to have a leader...and then asks kanha to show Dev the right way...otherwise her faith in kanha will be broken...Now so does this mean that Radhika knows that what has happened is wrong and she wants Dev to be the leader because he can bring justice to society that has been lacking till now (but Dev getting married again as per families request is wrong so how can kanha sanction that?) ...or has she being so brainwashed and manipulated that she has now started to think like RP...She has been emotionally abused for the past few days and an emotionally abused person does accept the words of the abuser as their own and tries to behave like on too...because their identity becomes mixed with the identity of the abuser or manipulator (dada in this case) and they cease to have any identity of their own.
Padma and dais selfish talk- Now Padma wants Dev to accept Barkha because otherwise people will blame Radhika for all that has happened...if the truth comes out and she is worried about that...and if someone loves someone then should look out for that persons benefit...who is she trying to convince ...Herself?...and this conversation Dev over hears...the one about one doing for the whom one loves and also overheard by Radhika who might take it as Padma is looking out for her...anyway Dev's response I think has been snipped away by the editors scissors...
Radhika and Dev-Started with Dev was emersing the ashes and he remembered Radhika's voice that he also should immerse her promise that she gave to dada...he hesitates and then after immersing asks dada to give him the strength that he does not do any injustice to anyone (now if Dev does what his dada wanted then there will be injustice to both Barkha and Radhika) . Then in Dev's room... where Radhika is waiting for him...and Radhika gives him a bright smile...and starts...one by one reminds him about what will be lost ...what the family will loose...what the society will loose (why will going to trust mean everything shutting down? Is the trust run by the mahants? I know that the mathadheesh is like dada, so does that mean all are like him and won't think what is right and what is wrong) ...Dev is asking her why is she doing all this, because this is not her ...and Radhika keeps on hinting that Dev is doing this for love and nothing else ...Dev is left thinking and Radhika leaves the room but in contrast to Rohan who was smirking she is looking guilty and is crying..infact her heart is breaking apart, she does not like confusing or hurting Dev, but she feels that she has to... but not showing to Dev...Then she takes him to the temple, the one that is the source of belief to loads of people will be closed down if he does not become the RP and since it will be closed tmrw and they might not get time to do it tmrw so why not do it now (so Radhika has accepted that people will not accept her...so Radhika accepts that people will refuse her). At the temple Dev realises that it is dada's favourite one and ... Dev is remembering dada and now seeing dada in Radhika...this chap is completely lonely and lost and looking for guidance and now clinging to one person he calls his own...Radhika taking him to the inner sanctum with a stern face and then tells him to take the sankalp and close the temple doors...he does and the shankh dhwani happens...and Radhika goes outside and rings the bell so that when Dev comes outside he sees people in front of him who are expecting him to do pooja and he realizes the peoples need to see him as the RP... Now that Shankha dhwani...it might mean that sanction from Kanha to Dev to step away from RP or does it mean something else (shankha dhwani usually means granting of a wish or war being declared, if war then by whom?) and after Dev comes out of the temple, that means after the temple then Dev sees his responsibility...
I must say this episode has brought more questions than answers...no questions regarding Rohan-Dev, Daima-Padma...but Radhika in front of kanha and Dev-Radhika...a conundrum of questions...
And one thing...brilliant acting by Avinash and Rubina and very good support by Saurav...that first scene was very good between Dev and Saurav... Avinash's confusion, anger, knowing look to Radhika and Rubina as Radhika and her smile and talk to Dev (excellent use of reverse psychology)..her tears for going against Dev (her heart is breaking but she cannot show) ... her stoic look in front of kanha...
So my main question now...Is Radhika upto something? If war is being declared then is it Radhika on corrupt RP institution and the wrong that was done? Is Radhika worried that Dev will stand away from RPship because of her and then society will be the one who will loose out...because the Mahants are also corrupt (her talk on going to trust and everything shutting down is making me think)...have Barkha and Radhika come to some understanding but whatever will be done will be done openly? Or is Radhika so abused that she is thinking like dada? If the shakha dwani was a sign from Kanha to close the temple and loose the RPship for sometime, thenif Dev makes a mistake what will be the repurcissions of that action? How will Dev balance both...responsibility to society and also to see that justice is done to Radhika and Barkha ...oh by the way Radhika is openly wearing sindoor and mangalsutra ...so to society whose is she wearing..I mean whose name? Also does dharma here mean duty and not the "right way"?...
