The name of this show is Choti Bahu- Sawre ke rang ranchi...choti bahu is Radhika and the tagline indicates that this girl will do anything and everything possible for her sawre that is Dev (even though others might think it is wrong but she will do it). ...Also liked the brilliant acting and the dynamics between the different characters.

Anyway starting off...Dev was just leaning and crying away and lost but as soon as the Mahant said that after the last rights, he will be declared as the RP, he came to his senses and looked up...Radhika's expression also changed...she was crying and then it became stern...(so both are anticipating what is going to happen) ...then I ended up laughing at Shanti's shock when she realized that Radhika has finally got married to Dev (which Shanti never wanted)...she actually lost her voice for a fraction of a second (very rare for Shanti)...and Mansaram as usual is still in his candy shop beaming with pleasure that Radhika has got married to her KK...he also looks very proud. Shanti is after her daughter Chanda getting married off, so packs her off to do work, to please people (actually I have seen ladies like Shanti desperate to get their daughter's married off and they even go to funerals to look for prospective bridegrooms). Anyway when Mansaram says that Radhika has said to keep this news to themselves...Shanti correctly guesses that something is going on in Radhika's mind. She does know Radhika well and can sense when Radhika has taken a decision that might be detrimental to her and her family (well she does not consider Radhika as her family)...she knows that Radhika has been waiting to get married to her KK and keeping quiet about it might mean something is up and she also knows that how stubborn Radhika is...hence she says that don't know what is cooking in your daughters brain, she will drown us...well is she wrong from her POV...Radhika will never get married and if she comes to stay at Mansaram's house then what will happen to Chanda's marriage proposal?...with an older sister who has lived as the wife of another man when not married to him , who will marry Chanda? And what will happen to Mansaram's family? ..they will have to listen to all the words in the village..they are not rich that people will stop speaking in front of them...
I really liked the Shanthi-Mansa convo, it was very funny.š
u know however the convo maybe i am never tired of Mansa-Shanthi scenes. they are so lively.( though it includes shanthi taunting or Mansa making fun of Shanthi). They have a good chemistry.
Then comes badi bahu and her delusions...she still believes that even after the old chap declared Dev as the would be RP, the mathadheesh and the other mahants will accept Virat. Although they don't know what these two have been doing but why will they go against the old chap's declaration? Badi bahu did try to project Dev as irresponsible but without any proof why will they accept it. Anyway liked this part because this is what badi bahu is about and I am guessing that soon she will lash out...well that is how she works. Liked Virat trying to show that he is really heartbroken when he is not ...but alas that his good boy act did not work.

but yesterday there was a doubt, Will Maheswari start to dominate everybody in the PH now? will she start taking her chances?
When they bring the old chap's body ...Radhika was initially stony faced but then she keeps on looking at the body and starts crying and hiccupping...Dev is just standing with the lost look and staring at dada's body...but Rohan with tears streaming down his face is softly looking at Radhika (and I am again having a feeling that he wants to go and hug Radhika ...would be interesting if he does that with Dev standing nearbyš...and I am joking here regarding the hugging part)...Anyway the mathadheesh says that the future RPtian has to light the lamp...insecure look back on Padma's face...and Dev with the lost and serious expression looks at Radhika...
I loved the look of Dev here, the way he sees Radh there, it was cute.

Dev will get fierce and blast rohan saying " Rohan!!!!!!!! teri ithni himmath tune meri pathi ko chua" and the whole crowd will stand with open mouths as shanthi did š
I think everyone is waiting for someone to take some decision, I mean the way the purohits were mostly looking at Radhika...and this girl because of her misplaced guilt and brain washing takes it and sends Barkha ...but why is barkha's mother not protesting...she is just busy crying...and why is she crying so much.š š i was like LOL why is she crying??..I mean she only got to meet the old chap just few days back...infact she is even crying more than Barkha who is mostly dry eyed (very strange woman I must say)...ofcourse the Purohits won't protest because Radhika is protecting them so when fingers will be raised people will again blame Radhika and no one will blame them even though being older to her they did not stop her when they had the right to...even Barkha who was being fiery until now goes forward meekly, well then people will not blame her but blame Radhika later on ......when Barkha does it...Dev again looks at Radhika...and daima is smiling...maybe she has realized that brainwashing has been affective and she will have to work of Radhika more...because the key is Radhika and not Dev...Anyway like Radhikas reactions here...she looks at Dev and then gets worried/scared...does not look at Dev while telling Barkah what to do...and looks down... She knows that she is going against Dev's wishes and cannot look into his eyes while doing this...so does she know that what she doing is wrong? But still doing it because of the promise that she gave a dying man...because maybe according to her, he did not bless her while passing away...so in one way did not accept her because of her past...just gave the responsibilities.

Then they take the old chap away...Dev is listening to what he has to do and following orders like a robot with a lost look on his face...liked Virat reluctance in giving a shoulder to his dead dada because he does not have any emotions towards him but badi bahu makes him do it...
While doing the last rights Dev remembers his childhood with dada (good emotional connection shown here) and then he remembers that the old chap told him to always maintain dharma (hope Dev will be maintaning his version or the right version of dharma and not the old chap's version)...and then pleads that he wants to be left alone for sometime...then sits there by himself...completely broken down asking why did the old chap leave him and he never felt like an orphan before but now he feels like one
Ah that was sooo ooo emotional and touching scene.š it really showed how much DDg was imp to Dev. and how much Dev loved his DDg i liked atleast now they are showing the connection between DDg and Dev. I wised they had shown before too when DDg was alive. but anyways it was a good scene and Avinash was so good here.š
(the old cap however evil to others was like his parent to Dev and in his own way tried to protect Dev...because to the old chap Radhikas presence will spoil families image and hence Dev's image...so he was doing it in his own convoluted and egoistical way and did not care whether Radhikas life was being spoilt so long Dev was ok he was fine...but he did not understand what Dev wants and did not accept what is right and wrong and hence this result...but he did understand that if a girl who has worshipped some unknown guy as her husband for 12 years and is ready to give the same husband up so that her presence does not harm him, then she is the best candidate to carry on his work...hence he chose Radhika...because he understood the love that Radhika has for Dev and to what extent she can go for him).
Back at Rajpurohit bhavan...Radhika is sitting quietly in front of old chaps fierce looking portrait...and Shanti arrives there to spill her venon, hatred and jealously and emotionally injures Radhika more...(Shanti knows how Radhika can be controlled)...so she first reminds her that Radhika is unlucky and that is why the old chap died and also feels sorry for the old chap...and then continues that she was also in this plan and was just showing off when she knew that she will be getting married to Dev...so people were saying that she is Mahan but she is not and this fact Shanti only knows...(and Radhika's fears are coming out that her relationship with Dev will be destroyed and will get a bad name....According to me Shanti is scared that Radhika will land home) Radhika closes her eyes here in pain...and Shanti does tell Radhika why not to come home because of Chanda's wedding...(but to me it is Chanda she is telling Radhika but inside because she feels that again Radhika has defeated her)... Mansaram lands there and says that Radhika is not characterless just unlucky to have a mother like her...(well that is true)...Shanti again reminds Radhika that for her happiness she can destroy lives and I think for the first time Mansaram tells her off saying that she has accumulated enough sin in her life by torturing Radhika since childhood that even God will not forgive her...then goes and sits beside Radhika...and tells her that not to take her mother words to heart...(Radhika knows that...she has been taught this from childhood and hence she usually does not pay attention to others harsh words or opionion but does what she has to do...remnant of behaviour that she has learnt from childhood...can be helpful but can also harm her) ...Radhika says that she will return because Barkha is the wife in societyand the society will not accept her but will accept Barkha and then kanha and Radharanis example (which Mansaram buys because he places her above him...another father would have told Radhika not to compare herself and Dev with Radharani and Krishna...they were Gods she isn't...and would have also said that society can be changed if they work with the society slowly)...and Radhika says that she will be in this house until her promise to the old chap is fulfilled (so that means she is not leavingš¤).
here shanthi's words were very harsh, Shanthi's words were pushing Radh more and more into her guilt. but liked Mansa defending her.
Misti i thought the scene where Radh describes, i thought they would show the way they showed in precap, butš...i liked friday's precap very much.
Dev comes back and washes himself before entering the house

and then Radhika comes bringing him dry clothes...Dev asks Radhika that why did he allow Barkha to light the lamp...Radhika looks down Dev asks again...Radhika's guilty look changed and she became stone faced and sternly says that she is protecting the prestige of Rajpurohiti (ahh not dharma) and she hopes that Dev will accept it ...Realization slowly dawns on Dev and his expression slowly changes into fury...
i likd how Dev asks her, he didnot forget it even in his grief, he wanted to know, it was Radh's right and why she didnt do it.
Misti u know i was laughing when Radh demands him to support her decision and then Dev's expressions...(š poor him)
Precap- interesting again...liked the expression on everyones face...but that is for tmrw.

Now coming to acting...first class job by the actors involved...Avinash no words to describe the way he is projecting Dev's loss and pain...his stoic and blanck look and then breaking down...Rubi na and her projection of Radhika who is guilt ridden and completely being pulled apart...who is also feeling guilty and might know that what she is doing is wrong...Garima as Shanti and her jealousy and venom...Anditya as Mansaram and his happiness turning to despair but accepting her just the way she is...trying to protect her the only way he knows how to...

So is Radhika wrong?...yes she is, wrong in the sense how she is handling things but I am feeling sorry for her because of her circumstances...she is young, guilt ridden, scared , manipulated...and she is reacting the only way she knows how to...she needs someone wise and elderly to guide her out of this mess but she has no one there to do that to her...to sit down and make her understand. Dev will try but Radhika will fight him because she considers him to be the main obstacle in her duty to protect him and the family's honour.
agree with u. She's not doing right. but it is acceptable seeing her state and situation.
