Gopi's uncle is to be blamed for her state

He knew exactly how his wife was yet still he kept gopi in that house. Why didnt he just put gopi up for adoption? He is a chicken and cannot stand up to his wife knowing her tricks then how the hell did he think he could keep gopi safe. And why didnt he stand up when urmila didnt let gopi study. We all blame rashi but imagine as a kid your mother keeps poisoning you that your cousin is your enemy and not be nice to her. Gopi's uncle should be ashamed of himself for not protecting his dead sister's kid. He needs to man up and put on some pants and put urmila in her place. Without her kind guidance rashi will realize that gopi loves her and is not her enemy.

Often what happens in india is men work long hours all week, and then dont wish to get involved in the matters of the house.

For all we know, Urmi could have been nice to Gopi in front og Jitubhai, then all hours of the day, when he was at work, abused her.

But what I do blame Jitu bhai for is Gopi's education.

At some point he should have put his foot down. Even if Gopi started school late, say at the age of 7, it would be better than not at all.

I think it was mentioned by urmi once before that she couldnt keep Gopi in school as she would run home. She liked house work better( which we know is a lie)... But as someone said she could have pretended to be nice to her in front of jitubhai...n I actually have seen this in real life too where mami treats neice really bad n mama says nothing. Except loving the child the best he can. I agree about maning up... But not jus jitubhai but all of the males in SNS.. Especially jigar...! Seems like they gave all the manlyhood to ahem n koki (40/60%) rest got tenga!... Dhaval has no guts, parag forget it, chirag ehhh, jitubhai a mouse has more guts then him... What we do know from Saathiya is that Gopi receives a pension from her father, that goes to Jitubhai, first episode signing for the pension remember (Gopi signing like an infant). The fact is that Jitu bhai is collecting her Gopi's father's railway pension and he gave some to Gopi and said he would keep the rest for her, why didn't they educate her with that money and what is happening to it now that she is married? What is Jitu bhai doing with it and perhaps he should hand it over so that Gopi can live on it (I want Gopi to leave the Modi's to further her education, and learn more about society, she's too closeted, she is innocent because she doesn't know about the world).

A child needs to be guided what they should do at what time, Urmila needed to force her to leave housework and study, but Urmila and Jitubhai failed as guardians to the girl, even you when you were small, I'm sure at times you didn't want to go to school, you were sleeping and parents force you to get up and go to school, your parents were thinking of your future, when they did that, but Urmila and Jitu bhai didn't care about Gopi's future.

Also Jithubhai by allowing Urmila to boss him around and allowing Gopi to observe this sealed not only his fate in life to be a hen husband but taught an impressionable child Gopi that it's okay to be timid and to be bossed around by Urmila and everyone else in society.
