we luv dem so much dat we don't want to see any other track for long
but its so irritating dat lucky is not doin anythin as he has come to become a gud son
even nando is not doin for wat she came delhi
n mamaji pata ni kahan se tapak pade
but wat to do geet has become comedy circus ka naya daur

Sana if Geet was mean enough she'd tell them to get the hell out .. but it's her family who sadly has no shame to just say .. ok look Geet you seem to have a lot of problems already and plus Maan is suffering from amnesia .. so we should leave to make your problems LESS .. but them just sitting and eating and sleeping there like freeloaders is not a good thing to show at ALL :( .. I would've liked if they showed them caring enough for Geet to help her out .. or at least try and WORK .. and earn MONEY .. and Nando to leave and go STUDY for that PhD that she keeps mentioning .. but the limit was when she so shamelessly allowed her "best friend" to live there .. I mean come on .. there's a limit .. they didn't even ask Maan or Geet before allowing him in the house .. this is not done ..

I sure hope they understand this soon!

But I agree with the other point of having to bare with them for Maaneet's sake .. and that GurTi need some time off because this is one serial that happens to have the smallest cast in my POV .. they rely SO much on GurTi .. I just realized .. cuz other serials have many other pairs goin on .. and many other main characters who take up much more screen time .. what to do we're so immune to seeing our Maaneet .. that we want to see them and only them ..

but side characters should be given something of relevance .. I mean we really dont wannt see Devini or Ranbir bein cupid but as I said anything for Maaneet!

Haha, Z, I feel like I am stalking and answering your posts everywhere!

The thing is this show didn't have that small a cast ever. It was just that the supporting cast was woven so seamlessly into the story in earlier tracks that even their scenes seemed to revolve around the main Maaneet storyline. Before, the supporting cast was the office staff and there were just about as much of them as there are irritating family members now. I have a feeling they are trying to see if they can adapt Geet for StarDesh with the introduction of so much family, and having the tracks revolve around pujas and festivals, mainly at home instead of at the office, which was the old focus point.

Before there were Dev-NT solo scenes, but because they were always talking about Geet it was like she was an invisible part of the scene. Also, the side romances before were office romances (Adi-Pinky, Tasha-Romeo) which were cute and sensible, without trying to imitate the intensity of Maaneet so they complimented it instead. So even if Maaneet wasn't the centre of the episode, we could feel their presence even in the side-tracks. It felt like a Maaneet-dominated story.

Now because the side tracks are being executed with no reality or sensitivity (as the TM correctly pointed out) the whole episode rests on the shoulders of Gurti/Maaneet scenes and so we feel that the supporting caste is bigger. This is just my opinion of course.

Mamaji NEEDS to go home. Beeji is back so there is really no reason for him to be here. The combo of him, Lucky and Dev has me tuning out of the episode completely, though of course I leave it on. I don't want to feel this way about Geet but they really are confusing me with their careless handling of the side-tracks.

The side cast -- as you mentioned -- before was larger actually and yes .. the way they handled then .. the way they showed that the side characters related back to Maaneet in every way even if Maaneet weren't in the scene ... was the beauty of side characters. Now they are giving way too much importance to side characters like Nandini/Lucky/Mama .. and now to add to the list -- Ranbir. Mama as you said NEEDS to go home .. he's an old man .. whose a drunkard .. it really brings down the look and feel of KM when he is shown lounging around drinking and doing absolutely NOTHING to add to the curiosity of the show. He was decent enough when they showed him using his "skills" to outsmart NT in getting her to sign those papers .. but really I think they could've had someone else do that too .. but since the actor and character was there they used him properly .. and people appreciated it for the first time ..

Lucky/Mama scenes are ones I dislike most because when they start you know that it's going to be a senseless comedy scene which'll add nothing to the story .. I mean Geet and Maan are enough to create comical scenes .. we've seen that .. GurTi are masters at comedic scenes .. so there's no point really to have additional characters who are only there for comedy and nothing else.

I really want to appreciate the actors but I feel they're being wasted and need to have their characters exited from the show. I am least interested in Devini .. Nandini should seiously act sensible and tell Ranbir to go .. and go and study like she keeps saying she wants to .. a PhD is a big deal .. if you want it .. go and get it .. they should show someone getting an education that way .. it'd be good .. and if Dev wants to support -- be my guest!

But showing them inviting all their personal friends over to KM .. and hovering around the house with nothing constructive to do .. it really hampers the flow .. and I guess you're right .. that's why the cast seems so much bigger..

I'm so disappointed that with people like Adi & Pinky .. they don't even use them .. when they've been in the show longer and are loved more than any other character than Maaneet .. sad that the potential of their love track isn't being explored..

But if they're doing this to see if they can gain entry into Star Desh .. they need to do a better job .. and yes I realized that they're giving more importance to Pujas now than before ..
