Ooh, Kluless I read your post in the morning and decided to reply back later on and kept searching for it all over... 😕
Hmm, I think that Bani was always in love with Jai in someway...in the sense that I doubt Bani has respected, admired and looked upto anyone in her life the way she has for Jai! Bani has been a role-model to many, but she has never really had a "Hero" in her own life...it was spent taking care of an alchoholic father and two helpless sisters...Bani was probably always a grown up! There was no one to indulge her, pamper her, shower love on her and cherish her the way every woman expects to be loved and cherished!
In Pushkar, Bani found a good friend and a companion, but then again, he was never really upto Bani...and she knew it! Bani really liked and adored Pushkar, but I seriously doubt that she ever respected him much, definitely not after what he did to Jai and her by running away with Pia!
And then there are the likes of Ranveer who leave no stone unturned in making her life miserable!
The only person in whom she could see a mentor, friend, guide, role-model and guardian was Jai...he could scold her, scream on her, be immensely protective about her, be openly affectionate and warm towards her, hate her, petrify her, get her down on her knees, yet fall in her arms for support....The sort of Man who will not only give a woman everything she desired by also make a woman the most desired person in his life!
Hence in Jai, Bani sees's a complete man, someone who is both a Father-figure to her and also the ideal husband and their marriage has only proved to Bani that Jai is everything she was looking for in her life...he completes her where she is left alone and she fulfills the vaccum in his life!
Jai and Bani share an "Equal" relationship, even though seperated by innumerous factors! Hence, Bani falling in love with Jai was the most natural progression of their relationship and I think that even if they had not married, Bani would have somehow always been affected by Jai in her mind and heart! The Love part got accentuated after marriage as Bani is the traditional types who belives that a husband is to be loved whatever the case maybe, and here her husband is none other than Jai Walia....whom it is just impossible for not to Love...😉 So I guess in Bani's case, Pyar Toh Hona Hi Tha...
I hope my answer made sense, I think I am a bit off-topic here, tried my best to answer!
Cheers,
