Vaibhav : maa ???

The person was shocked hearing that voice . she stood rooted to the place .

Chitra : maa kaise hai aap ?? maaa???

Dadi : haan ..

Vaibhav : maa aap teek tho hai na ??

Dadi : vaibhav ????

Vaibhav had slight tears in his eyes : haan maa ..

Dadi cried and hugged him : where were you all these days ???

Geet and sai who stood behind were totally confused so was the case of the khuranna family who were behind dadi ..

Annie : dadi yeh sab kya ho raha hai ??

Geet : appa ???

Just then annie and geet noticed each other ..

Annie and geet at the same time : tum ???

Geet : appa whats going on here ???

Annie confused : geet what are you doing here ??you told you ll be off to Chennai today .

Geet : annie this is my mom and dad ..

Annie : oh ..but dadi how you uncle and aunty ???

Dadi looked around and saw some people looking at them and said : woh ,I think we all should leave to home now ..

Maan : per dadi , you told you need to visit temple today . but you are leaving without darshan ?

Dadi : maan maine kaha naa , chalo hum sab gar chalet hai .

Maan : teek hai .

Dadi : vaibhav tum sab log be ayiye .

Chitra : teek hai maa . we ll come in our car .

Dadi : hmmm'

Khurana mansion .

Everyone were sitting in the living room . no one talked . there prevailed dead silence . unable to control himself , maan stepped in .

Maan : dadi , whats going on here ?? how you geet's parents ???

Dadi gave a teary smile : it's a long back story maan .

Vaibhav noded : yea ..it all started even before you had born .

Geet : appa , don't talk in riddles ..

Dadi gave a questioning look to vaibhav . just then he realized that he had not introduced his daughters .

Vaibhav : maa yeh geet hai and this is sai . my two daughters ..

Dadi smiled : I had seen her in maans office two days before .

Vaibhav was shocked : maan ???

Dadi smiled : my grandson .

Vaibhav : per geet waha kaise ???

Geet : appa khurana construction is his office .

Vaibhav was startled : what ??? iska matlab hai maan ???

Dadi noded : yes , he is ashish's son .

Vaibhav was so happy and he immediately hugged him . maan don't know how to react . he just reciprocated the hug .

Annie out of no where spoke : everyone hold on please !!!

All of them looked at her : I don't understand head or tail of the story .. care to explain ???

Dadi : everyone sit here .. I think you all should know about your parents a little now .

Everyone sat . geet sat down near her parents legs . while maan near dadi's .

Dadi : maan , your father ashish and vaibhav were close friends . their friendship started during the first year of college .. they always used to spend their time together be it study or other activities . most of the time either they ll be hear or at vaibhav's house . I considered him as my son so was the case of his parents . everything was going fine until vaibhav let us know that he is in love with e girl ..

Vaibhav gave a sad smile and chitra urged him to continue : myself and ashish were in the final year of our college . I met chitra . she was doing her third year . we both fell in love . we dint think of any consequences neither we had anyone who could explain us at that time . young blood '. We did what we liked . after I finished my college , I let my parents know about my wish to marry chitra . there were strong opposition in both of our house . she was locked up in house and they fixed the her marriage with some one else .there wasn't much time left . I talked with my parents for the last time . they turned down the discussion . then I decided to take things in my hand '

Chitra continued : that was the worst thing we still regret in our life . we both ran away from the house and ashish helped us in leaving the place . I don't know what would have happened if he was not there .. we both some how reached Chennai ..ashish could not join us since he had to attend his father whose health deteriorated suddenly ' when myself and vaibhav reached there , we knew no one and the place was totally a alien one .. their language , culture and everything ..

Vaibhav : I managed to find a job with in few days ' since I was fresh from college , I dint get any high paid job .. the salary was just enough for our basic necessities .. it was then we realized our parents value .. there wasn't a day where we wished to see our parents atleast once .. but I wasn't allowed to see them even on their death bed .. meanwhile chitra resumed her studies and finished it '. We both worked hard and after some years , we were successful in establishing our own business ' then geet and sai were born and life could not be happier than that '..

Chitra : maa , what happened after we left ???

Dadi : after a year you left , ashish father condition worsened .. he could not concentrate on business . he made ashish to promise him that he would some day bring his business to heights and look after me well ' she paused and continues '' ashish worked really hard vaibhav .. day and night makes no difference ' he really tried hard to find you ' but he could not ' then I some how convinced him to marry and then maan , annie were born .. he dint leave the search till his last breath '

Vaibhav and chitra were shocked with the sudden revealation of ashish death ..

Vaibhav managed to ask : maa ??? last breath ????

Dadi voice choked : haan vaibhav , ashish and his wife died in a plane crash ..

Chitra : maa when did this happen ???

Dadi : 15 yrs before .. maan was 10 @ that time and annie 2 yrs ..

There was a perfect silence in the hall '

Everyone were silently crying '

Vaibhav : if I had not gone that day , this would not have happened na ma ???

Dadi : vaibhav , what ever is said to happen will happen no matter what ..now what matters is you are here .. that too after years .. I got my son back '

Vaibhav hugged dadi '

Dadi : chalo , lunch ka time hogaya '

Vaibhav : how can I eat now ma ???

Dadi : nothing can be changed now ..atleast lets make a happy memory ..

With that everyone proceeded towards the dinning table ..some with clarity while some still confused ''..
