What's the one story about Lord Ganesha that comes to your mind?
The cutest story about Lord Ganesha is when he had a competition with Karthik about who can complete three rounds of the earth. Ganpati took three rounds of his parents and showed how respectful he was towards his parents.
Which has been your best memory of the festival?
This is my third year in Mumbai but I have never attended the visrjan because I don't like goodbyes whether it is Ganeshji or even family and friends. I have a friend Akshata Kapoor and I love the way they celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi in her society with different themes every year. Last year, they had a Ganpati made of ice.
Which is the best pandal you ever visited?
Besides Akshata's society pandal, I have heard that Lalbaugcha Raja is beautiful and I hope to visit it this year.
What is your most favourite part of celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi?
The devotion of the people towards Lord Ganesha is my favourite part.
In the spirit of going green, do you think the festival should be celebrated in a environment friendly manner? What suggestions would you give people in this respect?
Eco-friendly Ganpatis are a great idea. I heard a radio jockey asking people to bring newspapers and other waste as the channel is making eco-friendly Ganpatis and I feel that it is a brilliant idea.
What are your plans for the festival this year?
It depends on the shoot but I will definitely visit my friend Akshata and maybe some other friends also.
