It seems they are not extending the show with no effort made by either the PH or channel at clarifying the situation while we fans languish in pain. They will talk to us only when they announce closure in October. The speed and weak story development are enough indicators. Silence here is not golden, it's doom. Only hope is our petitions generate a market pressure.
So channel, creatives, PH, whoever concerned, can you please do the following:
(1) Recreate the magic of last year with more maaneet screen space and just five minutes for other story tracks. (You did this while building up the show. And I am sure the lead actors wouldn't mind a little hectic schedule considering the show is going off air, so they can take a long break after) Why we want this? With so much negative publicity around them and the show, they may not want to work together, even if somebody wants to cast them together. (This really hurts true fans who only believe in their onscreen chemistry and not the offscreen crap). The demand stems from the fact that earlier duos on TV screen had a long enough tenure for fans to savour and come to terms with. Maaneet has precisely had a year. (Research tells me KMH, which witnessed a similar frenzy had two seasons/years).
(2) Can we have sensible story lines that made us fall for geet in the first place (there was a time on doordarshan when they completed stories in 13 episodes and made them so brilliantly that we still remember them). Since you guys have tormented us from time to time with bubble-gummy tracks, at least attempt to go out in style in the episodes left than give us crude situational comedy. Give it a super finish. None of you have done anything to reward fans for sticking by you and finding time for the 9.30 telecast, so this is the least you could do.
(3) Last request to the leads. At least consider doing a signoff interview together, no matter how plastic, for true fans. We made you, you could also do this for us. There are many genuine fans but seems you two have reacted to the very small, malicious group of loonies on social networking sites and platforms. The best way to trounce trash is to come forward and be as normal as before. Working women face worse gossip in the real world. For once, get real.
thanks and sorry for offending but voices like ours are rarely heard and rarely spam or flood pages. Time everybody did something for us for a change.
