Geet wore a sleeveless violet colored anarkali that looked classy. Normally, she wouldn't give a look to such parties. She thought to make this unforgettable for her 'parents.' After she was ready, she texted Pari asking, 'All set?'
Pari replied back: 'Good to know. Waiting for your sign.'
Geet: 'Awesome! Let's do it.'
Pari: 'Aye aye mate.'
Guests of her evil step mother were already coming in and when Geet came out of her room, she stood up the railing and watched smiling evilly before going down. There was no way her plan could fail. They were always fool proof.
She sat back with Yash and enjoyed seeing her plan fall in action. The most important thing was her acting friendly to all ugly looking aunties and their so called bratty children who tagged alone. Geet couldn't help but feel sad for them as they would also have to suffer. Poor souls!
Seeing her acting so friendly, Priya was getting worried. She was receiving shocks since morning. The waiter came out of the catering area and silently motioned to Geet that part one of the plan was set to put in action. She gave him the thumbs up sign and Yash followed the waiter.
Geet asked a servant to arrange for a mike. Once it was done, she spoke: 'Everyone, to get this party started, I've arranged for special drinks and Italian starters made by the best Italian chef. Please enjoy!'
In reality, the best Italian chef was none other than her. She knew nothing about cooking and thus, she had added all sorts of spices that she could gather from the kitchen. Pari was a big help since she told her what it would taste like once it's been added. She knew everything about cooking while Geet knew nothing! (Ha-ha, main heroine knows nothing but her best friend does!)
Waiters came in holding trays full of weird looking rolls. Guests didn't think twice before eating it. They took a bite and actually acted as if they loved it. As they swallowed it, they realized the taste and yearned for drinks. Its effect was after one finishes eating it.
Geet grinned a smile that said 'This is nothing. More is about to come.' They wanted to get rid of a taste that was a mixture of bitter, hot, and sour. The smell of the drink was worse than alcohol. Geet assured them, 'Go ahead. It's just the smell.'
They took a sip and were satisfied as the taste slowly went away. Yash came to Geet, 'Nothing happened after they drank it.'
Geet: 'Chill little brother. Effect will be seen after half hour.' She patted herself mentally, 'As much as I hate doing research, it actually pays off. Who knew that boring class would help me tons one day!'

Maan was busy with his work since the moment he came in the building. He couldn't go meet his mom and dad (not that they cared) but still, Maan felt bad. He did yearn for their love after all.
He called them to tell that he won't be able to come. Instead, they told him first that they have to go to town urgently and so they can't come to the place to meet him. He was little hurt learning this but now as much as he wasn't surprised. He knew perfectly well that even if they did come to the place, they would leave in few minutes. They believe (according to Maan) that million dollars are worth losing a son. They would prefer money over their own son.
*A child grows under the shadow of parents and they learn from their mother and father. But when one doesn't have a shadow, you can't learn thing from wall! Parents say that why do I have such a child! They don't see their mistake but they see that their child is becoming spoiled.*
Maan was finally free around afternoon time. But that too only for few hours as he had meeting in evening. He leaned back in his chair and closed his eyes for few minutes to relax. He loved the work he does. But sometimes it gets over-loaded. He heard a knock on the door. Seeing Vicky, he motioned with his hands to come in.
Vicky: 'Hey Maan!'
Maan replied the greeting. 'What's up?' Vicky asked.
'Nothing man. Just finished work. I'm so tired.'
Vicky: 'My poor son!' teasing him. Maan glared at him and then chuckled. 'Jokes apart, do you have any plans for tomorrow?'
Maan: 'I have meeting early morning. After that I'm free whole day. Why?'
Vicky: 'I got tickets for a Bollywood movie. Sonia was nagging me that she wanted to watch it. Emma and Dan tagged along as well. If you'd like, join us. It'll be just like good old days.'
At this moment, Maan remembered the challenge and Geet. He had totally forgotten. He was glad he has such amazing friends. Unknowingly, they saved him from losing. Also, Maan did miss their college days. Without thinking again, he agreed. Vicky happily left to tell the good news to others.

Pari: 'Shh! Watch it dude.' She told the waiter following her. 'Climb in this window and go to left then climb the stairs and hide. Make sure no one sees you.' He did as ordered. He left.
Pari: 'O teri! How am I going to climb? Today, I'm not even wearing jeans. Pari, you're just great.'
Geet peeping through the window. 'Shut up! Give Yash your hand. He'll pull you up.'
Yash helped her up and inside.
Pari: 'Phew! Thank you Yash!'
Yash gave a smile. Geet: 'All set. Let's watch and enjoy.'
Pari: 'Let's go.' While going up the stairs, 'Geet! You're a genius. I never knew that your mind was this twisted.'
Geet: 'Thank you Angel. Yash, go tell that waiter to go.'
Yash left to tell. As they watched from above'
Slowly, everyone who had the roll and the drink started itching. As they scratched themselves, their skin turned blue. They were shocked. They wanted to stop itching but it was just coming out from inside. They couldn't stop.
Priya was getting annoyed and hell scared of what was happening to her. She yelled for the waiter. The waiter who had no idea what was happening came in running.
Priya yelled: 'What the heck did you give us? Look what's happening to us.'
Waiter (hell scared): 'Ma'am, I've done nothing. In fact none of the cooks have. Geet beti has done all the cooking especially for your party.'
Priya: 'WHAT? Are you sure?' she couldn't digest this fact.
Waiter: 'Yes ma'am.'
Priya: 'Ok. Leave. Geet?' she called her.
Pari: 'The time's here.'
Geet: 'Wish me luck.' And went downstairs trying to control her smile. 'Yes?'
Priya: 'Why did you do this?'
Geet: 'What do you mean?' (Innocently)
Priya: 'Don't act so innocent.' She gritted so rest wouldn't hear.
Geet: 'I don't act mummy.' She said loud enough for everyone to hear.
Priya: 'Shut up!' now not caring that others will hear.
Geet: 'Mom!'
Priya: 'What did you add in the food?'
Geet: 'Well, let's see, flour, turmeric, salt, ginger powder, chili, juices of fruits, umm, and rest I don't know names of.'
Priya: 'I didn't ask the details. Tell, why did you make food when you don't even know anything?'
Geet: 'I made it for your happiness. I knew how much this party meant to you. So''
Priya started itching her hand again. It turned into darker shade of blue. Geet giggled. 'Oh yes. I forget to tell you. I had also added ivy leaves. Remember, you were the one who had told once that they give good taste. So I added the juice.' And smiled.
Priya had told her one day long ago only because she wanted Geet to suffer from the poison. Her trick trapped her itself! Now, wouldn't that be a wonder. 'And the drink?'
'Oh. Nothing much. Just few spoons of itching powder, food coloring, normal juice along with Argyria.'
'Argyria?'
'Yes. It's a chemical of some sort used in juices. I read it in the food label. So added it too.' It was a lie. It was a chemical that turns skin color to bluish over time. The word and effect is true but food label stuff is made up by me. It's NOT AT ALL used in food.
'You and your research! Just go away. As you wish.' As in cue, Pari came in just as she was about to turn with a glass of hot coffee. Literally, Geet bumped into her and all the hot coffee fell on Priya's dress and little on her hand. Her hand got a slight burnt and she yelled out in pain. Not worrying about her dress (for the first time) ran to the table where ice was kept. She buried her hand in there and after a while, felt relieved.
Geet and Pari hi-5'Ed each other and chuckled. They hid their grin as Priya turned around. 'Don't you have eyes?'
Pari: 'Sorry aunty. (To Geet) 'Come on. Let's go. We have to''
Geet: 'Oh yes. Let's go. (To Priya) Sorry mother. I didn't know that skin will turn blue. I'm sure one your skin creams will work out.'
Priya scowled at her. Geet and Pari left waving bye to Yash. In addition, Geet winked at Yash. Yash now was really sure that Geet is back to her own self.'
As they reached Pari's cozy house, they sat back in her bed and laughed over everything they did. Priya's reaction and their success. They put on a movie to watch and fell asleep while watching it.

As Maan was free, he decided to do some research on Bollywood. He wouldn't want to lose. Especially not to a girl. Vicky was shocked as once when he came in, he saw pages of Bollywood open in his web browser. Maan angrily told him to leave as he didn't want to be disturbed at the moment.
Vicky also left assuming that Maan is doing some serious research.
