So good episode today. One thing that bothered me though, was once again the complete lack of mention of Dev's past with regards to Nandini and his potential relationship. I don't know if any of you agree, but I was under the impression that this is what NT's entry was for. As much as I appreciated her participation in Maan accepting Geet, I was disappointed that she failed to bring up the past, at least hinting to Nandini, so Maan didn't have to find out and complicate things for Maaneet, and provoking Nandini to ask Dev herself.
I loved the scene of Nandini and Geet in the kitchen today. This is exactly what I have been hoping to see from Nandini's character, the spunky, intelligent girl that was introduced in Amritsar!
However, I thought Geet and Dev's conversation, while not at all a bad idea was badly executed as Geet basically told him to forget his past in his pursuit of a future with Nandini. That didn't sound quite right to me. i understand her encouraging Dev to forget the past, but I think Nandini deserves to know the truth!
So, coming to the point, I wrote my own version of their conversation, sort of my ideal of what they should have talked about:
Dev: Congrats.. relationship with bro...etc..
Geet: Happiness in the household... You should think about your future with Nandini 😉
Dev: But Geet, NT's return made me realise how complicated my past is. Can I really make a girl like Nandini happy? Will she ever be able to accept me, knowing of my past transgressions or will my past be a burden on her? 😒
Geet: I know it is a complicated situation Dev but the only way you will ever find the answer is if you talk to Nandini about everything. I don't know what she will say but you owe her the truth at least.
Dev: Geet you are right. I will talk to her tomorrow and tell her everything. 😕
Geet: Dev, what you did in the past was horrible and weak but you are stronger now and I hope for your sake that Nandini sees that.
Dev: (with tears in his eyes) Thank you Geet. ðŸ˜
