I want to thank Salman for giving me his most special film. I guess he said the role was tailor-made for me because it is the first Salman movie in which the girl has something to do! His movies are usually very actionpacked , Salman-centric affairs. But this film has a soul, and the girl is the soul of the film.

You guys had a blast in Patiala?

Yes, Salman and his friends know how to make a girl feel warm and wanted. We shot "Bodyguard" in just 50 days. Salman had his cook with him and he knew I have a weak stomach . So he'd ensure that his cook made something that suited me. Alvira and Atul (Salman's sis and bro-inlaw ) were also very caring, very attentive . I just love them.

So when it comes to performance oriented roles, you are still the No 1 choice for filmmakers?

It is so special to know that people think that if it is a performance-oriented role, then we must take Bebo for it. When you see the Malayalam version of the film, you will realise that the heroine's role is tough. One girl has to portray two characters. People will love my character.

What do you make of constant comparisons with Kat and PC?

Honestly, the comparisons don't matter to me at all. The fact is, I am being sought after for the movies that are performance-oriented. There has to be some sensationalising; where is the fun otherwise?

Then what do you think about Kat and PC's special appearances in "Bodyguard" and " RA.One"?

Honestly, it could be anyone in those guest appearances. It doesn't really matter. It's not relevant to the story. I do movies where the story is of the utmost importance.

Where do you see yourself going?

Acting is my raison d'etre . When I am 50, I would love to do a "Devil Wears Prada". When I am 65, I see myself doing a "Bridges Of Madison County". I want to act till the end. I always want to be known as someone who gave her life to acting.
