MIL's take extra care of their bahu's during pregnancy , what's the big deal in it they want their waris 🤢 i know one of my friends, she was advised bed rest for 9 months n she did it, means all the work was looked after by her MIL only...but yes, i haven't seen any husband like naitik who sits besides his wife 24X7, feeding her and uthaofying her nakhre...n not a wife like akshara who's shooing him away 🤢

I had this talk with Mum sometime ago...and she said that nowadays, mother in laws will most likely be good and understanding, because:

a.) most of the to-be MILs are working mums and understand the hardwork required balancing everything

b.) the family system is now mostly nuclear, so the whole concept of joint families...and "interference" is not preferred by the MIL either as they are more independent themselves now

c.) most families now have the routine daughter and son...and most of us chicks don't know much about housework...so the MILs will be more understanding of their bahus

d.) to-be MILs are now more educated compared to their own MILs

Of course this is all in context...I don't know the system prevalent in India...so I'm only commenting on the society I live in out of India

...but knowing my luck...my MIL will be controlling...i have this gut feel ROFL!

Man, I don't want a MIL like G3...don't you remember that one time Akshara spoke up to her and she got all offended? Geez lady, take a chill pill lol
but that's the way she has been brought up i guess...so not entirely her fault...she will only behave like she was taught to

ur abs right...current gen. of MIL's will not be conservative or force anything on their DIL's, specially old customs like pallu or even ask her to work in kitchen bec. her own daughter will not be able to 😆 BUT the relation b/w MIL and DIL will be essentially the same bec. this relation is governed by emotions...the emotions of a mother for her son will never change , she will be moderately to over possessive abt him and insecure abt her DIL..the understanding issue will also come bec. therez a gen. gap...yes, i've seen many mil's praying that they get good dil's bec. they r scared that the moment her dil will step inside the house, she will ask for a seperate arrangement with her husband...her fears are not completely baseless, nowdays girls only want their husbands but they don't know nuclear family has it's disadvantages..whether husband wife work or the girl is a housewife, an elderly person in the house is the biggest support ! specially for ur kids...
