It was a beautiful soul touching scene when Radhika ran to Dev and hugged him. Hugged him just as if she was drowning on a vast ocean and he was the only life line she had to save herself. He is and always will be her only salvage. She knows this and that the essence of khana is residing in the form of Dev.
That embrace brought so many emotions in turmoil. It was beautifully portrayed as to how she succumbed to all the emotions that is quivering in her gentle heart. It was a masterpiece of great acting and skilful writing. Her helplessness , her sudden realisation of what happened on the most important day of her life, the cruel shattering of a lifelong dream, her fear for the future and what is to come of all this, her anguish at the harsh words of the Purohit Family, her gratitude at Dev for pledging to never leave her no matter what, the knowledge that he is ready to even risk his Raj purohit title for her, all these feelings were mixed in that single embrace. Her shaadi was performed'yet not as she expected, how she dreamt '.everything is a blur of confusion. It is as if she could see the dreams of her girlhood crashing in front of her eyes.
Radhika never means harm to anyone. Even for the people who have done wrong to her. Even after all the wickedness in DDJ's part, she still prayed for his well being before anything else.
When Radhika clung to Dev as if a small girl is clinging to her savoir, her emotional attachment to Dev was unquestionable. It was original, subtle, beautiful and intense. I just wish the writers would add more such emotional, soul touching scenes and lesser of gut wrenching, hard to watch agonies for RaDev.
