Part 71

Maan happily landed on the airport, he was back a day earlier then planned, he smiled on the pretext of surprising everyone especially Geet, she would be so happy to see him, she will not even come near him for a while, she will pretend to be busy helping Maa in the kitchen, it will take him a while to hold her in his arms, and that would not be before she comes to the room at night, but will she, as far as I know her she will definitely go and sleep at NT's place saying that she has come here not as his wife but as NT"s sister, he will have to try hard to manofy her, before he left she was so upset and her eyes swelled with crying, she must be missing him badly but she will not admit, it was not her Geet to admit. He smiled all the way to home, he has brought her original rotary and calligraphy pens, and she would love to use them.

But as he entered the house he saw her running towards him and when he held him she fainted in his arms, he was shocked to see her feet bleeding, her steps were marked in red tracing the path see took, then he saw VJ and Dev running behind her, he scooped her in his arms and looked at them questioning as to what has happened, he did not utter a word as he could clearly see the tension on everyone's face, he took her to their room, and was followed by the doctor whom Dev has called.

Maan stood holding her hand and listened carefully as VJ explained that hot tea spilled on her legs and she accidentally while stepping back stepped on broken tea glasses, they have put her legs in ice bucket and when she sensed Maan coming she ran to him and fainted. The doctor gave some ointments and said that the burn was not bad and it will heal in a day and also that the cut was not nasty and they can not do the dressing due to burns and she should not step down and rest, and the ointment has to be applied every hour, at present she was given a medicine and she will sleep most probably for few hours.

Maan did not say anything, he did not even ask anyone as to what has happened, but he was sure that whatever happened was disapproved by the most and he patiently waited for some one to come on their own to tell him. After an hour Muskan came, and told him everything, he did not react, he always knew that Prerna was jealous of Geet, he did not even blame her but only wondered how his twin sisters differed in nature on one hand Muskan was so polite and understanding and on the other hand Prerena was so loud and stupid.

Later VJ came in to him and told him what Geet said to him at HSPur,

VJ: bro you should not have teased her about the plane crash, all the while when you were there she was not able to eat or sleep properly, bro the paleness of her face is not due to this incidence it is due to the fact that she was worried about you, Preena di's statement just triggered her fear.

M: I am sorry VJ, I should not have said all thse things to her, but you need not worry I made sure that I need not go there till next few months, there is a new thing called internet, they taught me to use it, with it I can send them the drawings from here

VJ: that would be nice.

Just then they heard Geet calling "water"

VJ: you take care I'll leave

M: Geet (he made her sit and helped her drink some water)

G: Maan, aap aa gaye

M: tum bolao aur main na aao aisa ho sakta hain kya

G: Maan

And she dozed away in his arms and slept peacefully

Maan decided to go and meet the family as today was the holi fire he did not want them to feel low

Maan went downstairs and touched everyones feet, and tried to lighten the heaviness of that lingered there, he distributed the gifts he had brought for every one, everyone thanked him but Prerena was like a jerk

P: what is this Maan? This we can easily get in India also

Savitri interrupted: Prerna, don't forget this is a global world you get every thing every where, at least he brought something for everyone

P: no I don't want this, Maan what have you got for Geet, it sure will be some thing expensive and that cannot be found here, I will take that.

Maan just smiled while every one else wanted to strangle her, she was saying that a diamond neck piece was invaluable,,

M: there's a gift pack that says Geet, go ahead you can have it

Now that gift pack was sure big as the pens were packed carefully to check minimal damage while travelling, Prerna snatched it and opened it in a hurry

M: relax Di you will damage the contents

P: I told you all Geet is to get the most valuable gift, look how he is getting desperate

M: ok d what ever you want

And to Prerna's disappointment they were mere pens, and inside the pack it was written in Maan's handwriting, 'for the most hardworking student of her Batch, from his proud husband'

Every one was taken aback that while Maan brought expensive jewelery for every lady he brought pens for Geet

Savitri: Maan what is this they are just pens

M: Maa, she would have been very happy to have them but alas now she willhave to do with that neckpiece that she would hardly wear

Muski: Prerna, it is love that should be cherished, not money; learn something before it is too late

P: ok, you give itto herm I'll mange with that neck piece,

Later in the evening while Maan was feeding Geet, he asked him how she landed up hurting herself, Prerna was evesdropping as she was sure Geet would tell Maan what had happened and she was ready to attack as soon as Geet mentioned her name.

M: Geet, how did all this happen?

G: my fault, I was so engrossed in your thoughts that IDK how the tray slipped and I messed up myself

M: are you sure that was the reason

G: I know what was the reason better then anyone else

Maan hugged her and said: Geet I know what triggered you

G: nothing triggered me, it was all just my insecurity that led to all this

M: but Di should not

G put her finger on his lips and said: Maan, no one said anything to me, it was my fault, I should have checked my stride, don't ever think ill about anyone, please Maan every one has a different POV, but most important thing is they are our family

M: Geet, I love you

G: I know you love me more then yourself, and I too love you.

Prerna who was listening to all this, sighed in relief but she still did not understand that it was Geet and Maan's big heart that they forgave her.

absolutely loved it...just like i thought, geet sensed maan's presence hence she ran towards the door...that is what is called true love and security in their love...prerena will never learn...some people are like that...so magnanimous of geet and maan...
