The romantic undertone today

I warn already people, you might see more emotional posts today as I see the episodes again and again, and spot things that might not even actually be there.😳 Such is my commitment.

Today I felt really really glad in being patient.

We had all wanted for Maan to have someone share his grief, but seriously do we even know him?!

Has he ever, ever, like us normal humans, needed a shoulder to cry on, or a 'friend' to vent out his miseries on..

I love the CVs for this. This was a very strong facet of his incredible character, and they brought it out with such subtlety yet such detail.

No, hes not one to give explanations to anyone, not even to daadi ma. The closest anyone could have had come was Dev, and that scene was already dealt with when Dev, quietly adviced him on the reality of the issue and again gently urged him to see the predicament from both sides, his as well as hers.

So then yes, Maan could have only opened up or explained himself to - Geet.

First, because she is the one who needs to understand since she suffers the most. And Maan does not believe in sending messengers around. it was their problem, and it was she who deserved and needed to hear his side.

Because its only she who can support him. and he realized that. This was played so intelligently today, one could almost miss it.

The way he told her he was not happy with whatever was going on. A veiled plea, the closest he could come to ask her to let him be.

and then there's the fate and romance undertone- Isn't she ,even when a stranger , the one to whom he first opened up? so also today, it was quite a monologue, and though not 'romantic' per se ,
their is something that really clicks whenever Maan opens up to her and shows her his vulnerable side.
Theirs something very intimate and personal about it.

The way even she tells him outright how much he means to her, and then asks him to not think too much about it.. there was so much trust in that. but then she always has been the one to surrender to him completely. no pretense, no ego, no excuse.

Something that really added to their stark emotions, was that Geet was unadorned, no earrings, no bindi, nothing, and Maan in his light shirt.. no decoration, no distraction. they were just them and their emotions.

Beautiful.

PS: (umm.. when I say romance- its not the literal meaning..I meant it along these lines:
A mysterious or fascinating quality or appeal, as of something heroic, or strangely beautiful)

Nina I'm embracing your subtle admonition! 😆
Firstly I thank thee for such a beautiful perspective! I love how you pointed out the simplicity of the scene. He said what he really felt, and she said what she truly felt-with no distractions.. Simple yet Deep... & Yes he never opens up to anyone, and here he is expressing what his heart truly feels to a total stranger - whom now is perhaps becoming a little familiar...
It was indeed Beautiful.

Love your post...👏

The episode was so beautiful and fulfilling ...it seems to have evoked deep reactions from many..😳

I loved that contrast you have highlighted...Geet unadorned and Maan at his simple shirt (interestingly his fav which Geet presented him...irony here again 😆)

nicely said...loved how the episode focused mainly on them and their emotions. Can't wait till NT is exposed and thrown to the curb.

He still has to realize that he has changed and is not the same Maan who never shared his feelings with anyone whether they understood or not. He had a boundary around him which no one could enter to see how he felt or share here thought.
Geet is the only one he opened to near the fountain after knowing her truth. He told her his sceret of the dark room.

Today he opened up to her and told his feelings to let out his guilt. He could have done that with dadi but know he choose to say it to Geet despite the fact he dispses her actions.

Actually its more because hes a direct man. And from that perspective, it was more of fate than feelings, which had him explain to her yet again..

Of course, he'll realize soon, but for that he needs to develop feelings which he will now,.. free from pressure from her, he'll be more open to them.
