Gulaal is in the kitchen with her mother and thinks about Kesar's bringing kitchen supplies on his cycle, her asking him about the bicycle, his saying that he got it in his job. While thinking, Gulaal drops something on the floor. Her mother asks her to light the stove. Gulaal thinks about Kesar's trying to light the stove for her and coughing, Gulaal is about to touch the hot wood when her mother comes and asks what is she thinking, till when will she remain drowned in her past, she should move on, live moves forward not backward, so she has to learn to move ahead else she will find nothing but sadness, whatever happened she should forget and try to live happily with them, they are all with her in her decision, and they all believe that now Kesar is nothing but her past. At this Gulaal looks at her in shock, as if thinking how can Kesar be her past.

Gulaal is praying, Mota Bha comes there and sits waiting for her to finish. She completes and is shocked and touched to see him, she sits on the floor and cries on his knees. She asks how he is, he says he told his daughter to leave his house, how can he or anyone in the family be happy, he asks if she can forgive him, it was very difficult for him to come here, can she come home once, everyone misses her. Gulaal says she too misses everyone but she cannot return. Mota Bha says he has no right over her now to insist. Gulaal feels bad.

Everyone is seated for food, Kesar takes the first bite and says to Gulaal that the vegetable (oondhiyu) is very tasty, everyone looks shocked since Gulaal is not there and the vegetable is not oondhiyu but potato. Kesar feels sad and says he is not hungry and leaves. Sudha tries to lighten the moment and asks Kesar if he has made preparations for Janmashtami. Mota Bha says no, Sudha says it will give Gulaal an excuse to come home, Kesar says that he himself will bring her, Mota Bha says she will not come, he had gone to bring her but she doesn't want to return. Kesar is sad.

Precap: Talli says she will call Gulaal, Mota Bha tells Sudha nothing will be achieved, Gulaal will not come, and why will she, they all have behaved so badly with her. Gulaal is at the door in tears and calls out to Mota Bha. I do hope Gulaal starts showing some progress towards Kesar and is the one to make a move instead of him doing it all the time, he needs to take a bit of a backseat now.
