Yes, there is a definite change in the relationship, but he is still not there, he is still stiff with her, it could be because he is fighting his feelings.
The table scene was nice, he looked impressed and proud. Impressed that she remembered the phone conversation and took pride in the fact that she is learning quickly.
I didn't like the fact that he didn't clarify when Gopi took the blame for the lateness, he could have said he only taught her until 1am rest of the time he was doing his own office work, since they showed that he was still working at 5am. He knows what his mom's approval means to her, so I don't know if I am convinced that his feelings for her has changed drastically yet.
Later in the car he may have felt guilty for not saying anything, especially since she saved him from taking the wrong file.
He doesn't want her to slack off, so he continues to be demanding, and he is also getting used to her being at his side.
He did look surprised at her wanting to go to mandir, instead of staying back and spending time with him. He probably thought she wouldn't want anything else as long as she got to be close to him, and that proved him wrong.😆 (may be he will stop taking her for granted and think she will always be by his side.😉)
How will he respond? He will definitely say yes, since she is dressed very nicely, per precap, but she won't go until she takes care of him, and is feeling better.
So there may not be any school work on day 5. When she gets kidnap she is wearing the same sari.
