Geet: Maan shall we postpone the meeting

Maan: no Geet we can't do it...the client has come from a different country especially to attend this meeting...i told him few minutes back that we are ready with the software and now we can't give them any lame excuses...the reputation of our company is at stake and we are unable to do anything

Geet: i have deleted the data from team members PC's but i didn't delete data from Rajendran's PC...i have asked him to delete...i will check his PC once...may be by chance we might find some data there

They have rushed to Rajenderan's cubic to check his PC. He informed them that he has deleted the data as Geet said the information is highly confidential.

Geet: ok ...but please let me check ur PC once

She took his lappy and checked the files she has seen the earlier version of the software is not deleted yet.

Geet: Rajendran what is this file the data seems to be related to the software which we need

Rajendran: oh yes Mam...i forgot to delete this folder as i didn't open this drive since past few weeks

Geet: Thank god!!!...Maan Version 3.4 is still available...i think we can manage

Maan: no Geet we need Version 3.5 we have done lot of changes to Version 3.4

Geet: yes i know and i am aware of those changes i think i can do those changes

Maan: we just have few hours how r u going to manage

Geet: Maan plz don't panic... we have 5 hours, i think i can do it...u plz handle the client and take care the meeting gets delayed

Maan: what?... u want me delay the meeting?

Geet: yes ...just do anything and delay the meeting...plz go from here and do what i say

Maan: what r u upto?...how can i delay the meeting?

Geet:give them some excuse...introduce them to our staff, show them our entire office, present the slides of our latest achievements...show them our engagement CD ...just do something ... just go ...i don't have time ...leave from here

Maan left from there thinking of Geet's alternatives how to delay the meeting.

Geet: Mr.Rajendran plz accompany Maan and be with him, he may need u there

Rajendran: yes Mam

Geet called Pari

Geet: pari come to me immediately...this is really important leave the work whatever u r doing and come to me

Pari: ok

Geet showed the Pari what are all the major changes they have to do. For first few minutes Pari didn't understand anything as Geet is in a hurry to complete the task and the project which Geet is discussing with her entirely new. Pari is looking at her with blank face...Geet understood that she is confusing her.

Geet: Pari i know that it is difficult for u to understand what i am saying, we have only few hours to finish the work... i can't trust anyone other than u at this moment..u r the right person to help me to come out of this situation...plz don't go deep into the details like what the project is about and why the respective change has to do be done...don't think anything...just do the changes what i ask u to do blankly without thinking about the reason ... remember don't think just follow my instructions

Pari understood the situation is an emergency and followed Geet's orders... yes Geet ordered her to do the task and Pari blankly did what she was asked to do without questioning.

Yash informed Maan that he has received the clients and they are coming to the office.

Maan: Yash bring the clients from the longest route and drive slowly... do as much delay as it is possible

Yash: ok MK

Yash has done the same as Maan said and thanx to the heavy traffic of Bangalore...the heavy traffic helped them alot. They have reached the office 25 minutes lately than the usual time.

Yash called Maan to inform him that they have reached the office.

Maan: Yash the meeting is at 6^th floor, take them to the 3^rd floor ...take some time and tell them the meeting has been changed to 6^th floor

Maan called Geet to find out whether she is done with her work.

Maan: Geet client reached the office

Geet: i need 30 minutes

Maan: 30 minutes more?...this is not happening, they have reached our office and still we r not ready

Geet: i don't know how u r going to manage that's ur problem...don't disturb me

She hanged up the phone without listening to him

Maan remembered the alternatives Geet told him in the morning

"introduce them to our staff, show them our entire office, present the slides of our latest achievements...show them our engagement CD"

He received the Client and introduced them to the staff those who are not important and not related to the team also. He has shown them the slides of their latest achievements and killed 15 minutes of the time. He is thinking what to do next... he started giving the presentation of the software which Geet is still working on. He is feeling nervous thinking about the Client's reaction if Geet won't be able to complete the task.

Maan's self thought: common Geet...there are only 5 slides left and now i have to give the demo...plz make it fast

He has completed the presentation and he almost lost the hope so he has prepared himself to face Client's reaction.

Maan: Mr.George i have something to tell u

"Excuse me"Geet opened the door and rushed towards Maan. Maan took a deep sigh of relief looking at Geet.

Geet: hello Mr.George...i think Mr.MSK introduced every one to u but he didn't introduce the company's COO Mrs.Geet Singh Khurana

She extended her hand to towards George.

George: hello Mrs.Geet Singh Khurana i have heard that ur Mr.MSK's wife...nice to meet u

She some how managed to distract Client's attention and Maan took the lappy in Geet's hand and gave connection to the projector and made every thing ready for the presentation. Maan signalled Geet that everything is ready.

Geet: sry to disturb u George in between the presentation...we will carry on with the demo now

George: that's Ok Mrs. Khurana

Maan gave the demo of the software and noticed that few minor changes were not made but the major changes were taken proper care. He knows that Geet has given her best to complete the modifications in jest few hours. The team is aware of the changes between Version 3.4 and Version 3.5 but the client is not aware of the changes so he didn't complain about the presentation.

Geet, Pari, Yash, Rajendran and every body in the team felt relieved when Client appreciated Maan and their work. Maan and Client left form there as they have to discuss something about the date on which the software package has to be deployed in their company. Rest of the staff also left the meeting room.

Geet: OMG!!!...i got scared to death

Pari: relax Geet

Geet sat in the chair touching her forehead

Geet: Pari what might have happened if we are unable to reach here on time...oh God!! the mere thought itself is scaring me

Pari: it's over...everything is ok now

Geet: ya

She drank the water from the glass present beside her.

Geet: Mr.Rajendran thanq very much for forgetting to delete Version 3.4

Rajendran didn't understand whether she is remarking sarcastically or actually thanking him, he gave a smile as response.

Geet: but one thing which is bothering me is...how did all this happen?...Maan's lappy got crashed, Pen-drive is infected with Virus...keys of the safe are missing...CD is missing from the safe...all these things happened at the last moment as if some one has planned...something went wrong for sure

Geet became furious and Pari got scared looking at Geet's anger. Her hands are shivering with rage, Pari tried to control her.

Pari: we will think of it later...plz calm down now...everything is fine, it's just a co-incidence

Geet: i am not a kid Pari..don't try to pacify me...u want to convince me telling that all this is just a co-incidence...lappy might get crashed, Pen-drive might get infected, i might have misplaced my keys but what about the CD in the safe...if it is not present in the safe, where is the CD then?...i have to find out the culprit and will definitely find out

Pari: Maan will take care of this ... he knows how to deal with this, plz calm down

Pari patted on Geet's shoulder and Geet tried to control her temper because she understood that she is shouting angrily at Pari without her knowledge.

Geet: i am sorry..sry i couldn't control my rage

Pari: that's ok

Yash and Rajendran are present at the meeting room along with Geet and Pari waiting for Maan.
