@Aru if you are right toh dar kis baath ki? You have not written the history you are just stating facts...it is for the people to accept it, if people are happy in seeing distorted facts, it is their wish, not knowing is not a crime but knowing the wrong thing in the name of entertainment is gross...

I tell you something, my father is an engineer but he has collection of Winston Churchill's 2nd world war, books of Greek, Italian etc history, if you speak to him, he will discuss history with you for hours, as engineer, even after his retirement, till today people who have worked under him comes to our house and touches his feet...they call him their guru, Sir you have taught us for much (He worked for power generating companies) so being non history student is no excuse to see distorted facts in the name of entertainment...

Dear Friends,

Last week I missed the show and did not have time to catch up too this week I sat down to watch it and lo and behold here was our Chandragupt all grown up chasing the greek soldiers...Chanakya planning how to get into war with Alexander???? I rubbed my eyes and thought am I seeing correctly? As per my knowledge Alexander stayed in India for 2 years...if I am not mistaken this serial has taken a 6 years leap...Chanakya was apprehensive of Alexander, he was worried abut foreign invasion but frankly speaking I do not think he got to meet Alex as Alex left soon after his war with Puru, his soldiers wanted to go home...I know history is not well defined during that period but this is the fact we all know...taking creative liberties is fine but then I guess there is a limit to it specially when you are narrating such a popular piece from the history books...Your thoughts friends, Love Tin

I support your post almost entirely but would like to make two corrections...i did watch the part where Dhananand explicitly mentions 4 years to have passed since the drowning of his gold..the point where the leap took place. Another thing was that Chanakya did meet Alexander...a lot of Jain texts mention this meeting where he told Alexander that Dhanand was not a strong ruler..I do not know how they will twist it around but they should not take huge liberties with facts...They cannot show CGM fighting Alexander at all!!

@ Mulan ..I agree with you that on Chanakya had a meeting with Alexander for I guess since he was in Taxila which was not too far away from Punjab, where Alexander had camped but I guess like the story Jhum had posted in this forum (translated from a famous story in Bengali) Chanakya may also have asked CGM to watch how Alexander the undefeated king manages his troops in the battlefield, when Alexander had arrived CGM was too young to take on to him...he left India within approx two years and died...CGM fought Selucus later in life to capture the territories under Greeks when he came to power,,,,,
