Written Update Aug 10, 2011

Some women come to invite the mean girls' club to a ceremony for their son (I think new-born or something). Paan Baa says they cannot come but she will send Kesar. Gulaal comes there and they extend the invitation to her, Paan Baa says what will Gulaal do there, she has caused this family pain and will jinx the kid as well, the darkness in her heart has now come on her face so she doesn't need to pretend to be a daughter-in-law. Gulaal is shocked and hurt. Paan Baa tells her that if she were ashamed she would have left with her father.

Kesar interrupts and says she will leave, Paan Baa has started insulting her in front of outsiders as well, she will not stay a single moment in the house, he has decided to take his wife away from this house forever. Paan Baa gets a shock, Jamna smirks. The outsider women leave. Kesar says without knowing anything they are pointing fingers at Gulaal, they have not asked her even once her reason for doing this. Paan baa says that one day she will betray him too. Kesar says they can make her an outsider in one moment, but he knows full well that Gulaal will never do anything against the family. Kesar holds her arm and says he trusts her completely and that is why he is leaving the house with her. Jamna raises her eyebrow (love her actions, she is the only entertainment besides Kesar). Gulaal is touched yet crying and says she cannot leave the house in this situation, Kesar says she can and will leave the house, and he is saying this with the right of her husband. Paan Baa is burning with fury (and jealousy?).

Saru tells Kesar that he should support the family at this time, instead he is thinking of leaving, that also for Gulaal who is the cause of these problems. Kesar says very firmly that he cannot live in a place where his wife is not respected, his respect is associated with hers. Gulaal is shocked and touched at the same time. She is seeing a new side to Kesar everyday. Paan Baa is now furious and says that he is welcome to leave since he only cares about his wife and nobody else, he wants to hold his wife's pallu (end of sari - what a typical saas-bahu dialogue), she wants to kick Gulaal out the house at any cost, whether Mota Bha agrees or not, and if he supports her he can leave as well, and leaves. I have suspected this all along of the CVs - I think they replaced the old Paan Baa with the new one to make the change in character easy. I cannot even imagine the old Paan Baa behaving like this, it doesn't fit her character, so to make that transition easy for viewers they changed her. I will give them a pass since the show is ending and they need to somehow show Kesar and Gulaal together.

Gulaal asks Kesar how can they leave, Kesar asks if she trusts him, Talli comes and says its not about trust, how could he think that they would leave the house. She pleads with Saru to stop them, Saru says they made their decision, and leaves. Talli says she will accompany them. Kesar says she shouldn't accompany them, she is getting married soon, how can they drag her into this, the others will use this as an excuse to complain about Gulaal. Talli tells them they can go to her parents' place, Kesar agrees, Gulaal looks worried, not sure what will happen.

Poonam is frustrated and crying that they kicked Gulaal out of the house, Reva says Talli just told her that it was Kesar's decision. Poonam refuses to believe and insists on seeing Gulaal, Reva is frustrated with Gulaal and leaves. Revji calms her down and says that Kesar must have done this for Gulaal, happiness must be hidden in this turn of events, they should now think of this turn as a new direction in Gulaal's life.

It is night, Kesar and Gulaal come downstairs with their luggage. They take Saru's blessings, she blesses Kesar and not Gulaal, and turns her face away from Gulaal. Gulaal is stunned and hurt by this. They bend down to take Mota Bha's blessings, he pulls back his foot from Gulaal's hand, she feels very hurt, Kesar looks from one to the other feeling very bad for Gulaal and observing her reaction and tears to gauge her hurt. They take Paan Baa's blessings but she turns away. Kesar then walks away and carries their luggage outside, while Gulaal looks at paan Baa pleadingly desperate for forgiveness. Kesar asks her to come along, she hesitates, Mota Bha's tears fall, Gulaal walks backwards as if she cannot bear to leave the house, looks all around her and starts walking slowly with Kesar.

Mota Bha says he doesn't want to stop anyone, Gulaal turns around suddenly hoping he will stop her. He continues that its late at night so they should leave in the morning. Paan Baa says that since he has decided to leave the house without caring for anyone else, its best they leave now. Kesar is hurt by her words. Jamna feels happy. Kesar says Paan Baa is right, he doesn't want others to have an issue with Gulaal's presence, nor for others to trouble Gulaal. Talli comes in front of Gulaal and hugs Gulaal tightly crying. She says she is feeling very bad that she is not with them during these bad times, but they should not hesitate to call her if they need anything. She hugs Gulaal again and cries, and Gulaal weeps as well. Kesar is sad and touched, he is filled with brotherly love seeing Talli's support. Talli's hugging Gulaal and both crying weakens her and she runs to Mota Bha, holds his foot and weeps bitterly looking at him, desperate for one glance of his, but Mota Bha's face is turned away. The scene between Talli and Gulaal was very touching, Talli is really a sweet girl and I am glad she found Kunal, I hope Kunal stays far away from his parents.

Precap: Kesar says mischievously that he will go to look for a job, he will find one as a house-cleaning guy, looking at the dirty house. Gulaal asks if he will look for work now. Kesar says that he has no relationship with that house anymore, without borrowing a single penny he will take care of both of them. He says this with a lot of maturity. Gulaal looks touched, yet sad because in a way he is here because of her. Its strange that Gulaal is okay leaving with him despite knowing that the deeyarvattu is going to break soon. You would think she would have thought practically and gone to her father's house since she was going to do that anyway. But Kesar's leaving the house with her point to a long term situation, and she hasn't even either thought about it or doesn't want to leave him. Its good that she left the house - if she is happy with Kesar she will realize that she loves him and not the house or family, and she can be happy just with him. It also shows her comfort with him, that she trusts him and is willing to leave the family even though she doesn't want to go back to her parents' place.
