Here's Chapter 12:
Khushi and Taani rushed to the kitchen to get snacks. Arohi and Shilpa sat down with Daljeet.
Khushi: Taani Di...
Taani: Yeh...
Khushi: Woh...
Taani looked at Khushi. Khushi was worried.
Taani: Kya hua Khushi? Koi parishani hai?
Khushi: Aisa kuch nahi hai bas...You know my boss, Arnav?
Taani: Yep...
Khushi: He said that he loves me.
Taani hugged Khushi and spun her around.
Khushi: But I said I need time.
Taani stopped and looked at Khushi.
Taani: Khushi, why? He's such a nice guy and...Don't you love him?
Khushi: I don't know but...It was just all unexpected.
Taani: I understand but you should give him a chance...I mean he's handsome, good looking and more importantly, you 2 are perfect for each other.
Khushi: I made a mistake. I'll tell him soon.
Taani hugged Khushi as they both took the snacks to Daljeet.
Daljeet: Taani, come sit.
Taani listened to her Chachi and sat beside he.
Daljeet: Ye le.
She passed Taani a photograph.
Taani: Yeh kya hai?
Daljeet: Tere liye ek rishta.
Taani was shocked. Once again, her Chachi had got a rishta for her. Khushi, Shilpa and Arohi ran to see the photograph.
Shilpa: Bohot handsome hai.
Khushi: Taani Di ke liye the best.
Tears formed in Taani's eyes. Arohi noticed them. Taani got up and ran to her room.
Arohi followed her sister and entered the room.
Arohi: Di...
Taani cried and cried.
Taani: I love someone else Aru.
Arohi: I know but you know Chachi doesn't know this. If you tell her then she'll understand.
Taani: Understand? She would have understood by now that I don't want arranged marriage.
Arohi: Di...Just calm down. When they boy comes to see, just tell him then.
Taani wiped her tears and laid down on the bed, thinking of Anu.
It was 10pm. The girls were excited. Whenever Daljeet would come, the girls would sleep together. They decided to stay in Taani's room as it was bigger.
Shilpa: I'm going to sleep. Tomorrow I have to go to work.
Taani: Acha...Work or to see Armaan???
Arohi: Armaan? Yeh kon hai?
Shilpa: My friend. Goodnight.
Shilpa went to sleep as the others talked.
Over at the Khurana's a surprise party was being planned. Tomorrow was Arnav's birthday.
Anu: So I'll call all his friends and you 3 do the decorations. Maa will do the cooking, as always.
Armaan: Let's get going.
The 3 brothers got to work. The decorations finished in an hour and they all went to go to sleep. Arnav woke up and crept to Armaan's room.
Arnav: Erm...Armaan Bhaiya.
Armaan: Hmmm 🥱
Arnav: I have fallen in love.
Hearing the word 'love', Armaan jumped up.
Armaan: Kya? Wow...Kisse?
Arnav: Khushi. She works in my office.
Armaan: What did she say?
Arnav: Khushi said she needed time.
Armaan: Aww...Don't worry, she'll soon come to you. Ab so jaa.
Arnav walked back to his room and went to sleep.
Anu went to his Mum's room.
Neelu: Anu, tum yaha?
Anu: Maa woh...
He showed her a photograph of Taani.
Neelu: Hmmm...Achi hai. Bohot achi. God bless you.
Anu smiled as he exited the room.
Morning arrived. The phone rang in Khushi's house.
Khushi: Hello.
Armaan: Hi Khushi, it's Arnav's brother. You see, we are keeping a surprise party for him and it would be really nice if you could come.
Khushi: Sure. I might come a little bit late though.
Armaan: Don't worry. Just please don't tell him. And tell Shilpa, Taani and Arohi to come aswell.
Plus, tell Shilpa that Dr S gave us a day off.
Khushi: I won't. Yh I will.
She hung up the phone. Khushi was excited. What a perfect time to tell Arnav her feelings. She ran to Taani to tell her the news.
Taani: Wow. Khushi, this is soo perfect. It would be his best birthday gift ever. Let's get ready.
Shilpa: Kya tayari ho rahi hai?
Khushi: Arnav's birthday party. Armaan told all of us to come. And he said that Dr S told him that he gave you a day off.
Shilpa smiled as she got ready. All the friends got dressed in their best salwar suits. Daljeet was confused. All of them didn't want her to come. Arohi thought of an excuse.
Arohi: Chachi, we are all going to work.
Daljeet: In kapro mein?
Khushi: Fancy dress competition at my office.
Shilpa: I'm going with her.
Arohi: Wedding clothes for my show.
Taani: Erm...I wear this everyday.
Daljeet: Hmmm...Acha jao.
Taani, Shilpa, Khushi, Arohi: Bye!!!
They ran out of they house and caught a taxi.
The 4 friends entered the Khurana house. Khushi and Shilpa were shocked as they had come for the first time.
Khushi: Wooww.
Neelu: Namaste girls. Mein Arnav ki Maa, Neelanjana.
Neelanjana kept looking at Taani.
Neelu: You must be Taani na?
Taani: Ji.
She took blessings from Neelu and followed her sisters.
Armaan: Hey Shilpa.
Shilpa looked around the house. She couldn't see him anywhere. Then she looked up and saw him standing on a ladder. Shilpa waved at him.
Shilpa: Can I help?
He nodded. Armaan pointed to a wall where a banner needed to be put up. Shilpa made her way to the wall and stood up on a small stool. As she was putting the banner up, the chair was moving back and forth. Armaan saw her. Shilpa was going to fall when Armaan jumped ff the ladder and caught her in his arms. They looked at each other. It was as if the whole world was frozen and only them two could see each other. Neelanjana looked at them and laughed.
Neelu thought: Hmmm, looks like another love story.
Shilpa and Armaan came back to reality.
Shilpa: Thanks.
Armaan: No problem.
Arohi walked over to Arjun.
Arohi: Hi Arjun.
Arjun: Hey. How r u?
Arohi: I'm fine.
Arjuhi walked around the house.
Arjuhi: Sooo...
They laughed. Neelu saw them and smiled. She knew who would be her daughter-in-laws and she was extremely happy.
Arohi walked with Arjun to the kitchen. They checked on the cake. Then they walked towards the entrance. As they were walking, someone threw confetti at them.
Arohi: Lool. Oww.
Arjun: What happened?
Arohi: Something went into my eyes.
Arjun: Let me see...
He looked into Arohi's eyes and blew into them. Arohi was just staring at him, the way he cared for her.
Arjun: Done.
Arohi came back to her senses and smiled at Arjun.
Over in Anu's room, Anurag was wearing his shirt when Taani entered.
Taanu: Aarghhh!!!
She turned around.
Anu: What are you doing here?
Taani: I just came to see you.
Anu wore his shirt.
Anu: You can look now.
Taani slowly turned around. She opened her eyelids. Suddenly, she noticed that Anu had disappeared.
Taani: Anu!!! Anu!!!
Someone put their hands over her eyes as she screamed. Taani touched the hands. It was an amazing feeling for Taani. She knew who it was.
Taani: Anu?
Anu: How did you know?
Taani: Just...Let's go.
Anu agreed and walked with Taani downstairs.
Khushi walked into Arnav's room.
Arnav: Arre Khushi tum? When did you come?
Khushi: Just 10 minutes ago.
Arnav: No one is letting me go downstairs. 😡
Khushi: I wanted to tell you something.
Arnav smiled.
Khushi: I love you Arnav. I'm really sorry that I never understood it before. I realised when I went home. I'm really sorry.
Arnav: Khushi...I love you 2.
He embraced her as she smiled.
Khushi whispered: Happy Birthday!
Arnav: Thanx.
