For all Boys and girls...

Bhaiyyas and Behens in Particular...😆

So, Me, Harika, The official Behen of the forum proudly welcomes you all to the wee long Raksha Bandhan celebrations,

Officially/unofficially named as

Well, many of us know that this festival is marked by the tying of a sacred thread (Rakhi) by the sister on her brother's wrist. The brother in turn offers a gift to his sister and promises to protect her through out the life. And the bro and sis feed sweets to each other. (sweets are brought by the sis😆😳)

But many of us dont know that the main story behind the celebration of Raksha bandhan...

And today, I am here to...

Umm...well, dont expect me to start the whole story behind celebrating it...

cuz as far as I read on internet now, Raksha Bandhan has many legends behind its origin..

Lemme go simple...

There are many historical and mythological tales behind this festival like the stories of Santoshi ma, Yama and Yamuna, Krishna and Draupadi, Alexander and Puru, Rani Karnavati and Emperor Humayun.

And from those times, this practice is being carried on and is Prominent even in today's world.

This Sacred thread, which a sister ties on the wrist of her brother represents the lovely bonding they share..

Brother and sister relationship is one of the best relationships in the world.We may not have own brothers or sisters. But we do share such relation with atleast 1 person in the world. We may have various kinds of bondings with our brother..It may be a tom n jerry kinda relation, a respectful relation and also it could be much like a friendship..

Say for example, I always fight with Rubal bhai 😆 and play jokes at him,

Himanshu bhai, I share everything wid him...sorrows and Joys, he is much like a friend for me..

And Tej bhai, I actually get afraid at times to say something to him, after all he is the Professor and SS of the forum😆

What ever it may be,They are closest to me not only in Online world, but also in my real life...

For me, and many of us, Bro-sis relation is the most lovely relation in the world.

Well, enough of my filmy en sentimental bakbak...

Well, Raksha Bandhan is my favorite festival of the year. In real life I have one brother who is less than a year younger to me, so as you can imagine we are very close 😃 And even though I grew up in a large family with a number of cousins, who I am close to as well, nobody else can take his place in my life😊 My brother is my best friend, confidante 😳, partner-in-crime😉, victim of all my pranks😈, adviser-in-chief👍🏼, fashion critic , biggest fan 😆, protector 😎, and brother 🤗 all rolled into one. I'm just very grateful to have a brother like him.

I'd like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very happy Raksha Bandhan 😃

Happy Rakshabandhan to all!🤗🤗🤗🤗Umm I have never had a rakhi tied to my hand ever in my life though i have a dozen of cousin sisters😆coz we dont celebrate this festival...but it looks exciting and reminds me..when will diwali come!!😭😆
