Baby boom on telly!
Vinita Chaturvedi, TNN | Aug 5, 2011, 05.35PM IST
With some of the popular soaps on Indian television introducing babies in their daily tales, baby boom is the new wave that seems to have engulfed the couch potatoes these days.
And by the looks of it, they are enjoying this brand new twist in their daily quota of telly-tattle. Says Unnati Chauhan, a tele addict: "Ever since Suhana got home a babygirl for her sister-in-law Disha in Sasural Genda Phool, I have not missed a single episode of the serial. Suhana's antics as a caring aunt and her miserable attempts at making 'Italian khichdi' for the baby are very amusing indeed! I'm also loving the cute newborn boy in Pratigya, who has wrapped our entire family around his little finger."
The newborn baby of Abha in the serial Yahaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli has also brought a lot of relief to Abha's family and even rid them all of several evil influences. Says Asha Gupta, a homemaker and a telebuff, "It was traumatic watching Abha facing perpetual trauna from internal and external forces, so it's nice to see baby ushering in happiness and peace, finally."
IT professional Aditi Maheshwari, on the other hand, is happy for Bharti of Baba Aiso Var Dhoondo. "Bharti's baby has upped her confidence level and her happiness quotient," says she. With babies bringing in higher TRPs too, these cuddly guests are here to stay for a while!
