Chapter 54 – Chain of Love

After Nisha, Juhi and Pari did pooja, all sat down for Dinner. Geet started to serve.

Juhi –"Geet beta Nakul serve kar dega, tum bhi aa jao"

Geet – "Nahin Beeji, mujhe bilkul bhi bhook nahin hai….maine banate banate hi chakh liya tha…aap log shuru karo na…"

Maan also got up and went to the patio door busy with his phone – "Aap log shuru karo, main ek minute mein aaya"

Rahul and Pari fed each other the first bite lovingly and then everybody dig in. Suddenly door opened and Adi and Pinky entered.

Adi, Pinky – "Naamaste Uncle, Happy Karwachauth Aunty"

"Namaste beta" murmured all elders.

Annie – "Are pinky di aapka bhi to pehla karwachauth hain…aap log yahan"

Pinky – "Wahi to Annie…dekh na…koi nahin hai jo bata sake ki kya karna hai…papaji bhi bahar gaye hue hain….isiliye hum dono yahan aa gaye…lekin lagta hai hum late ho gaye"

Geet – "Are koi na…maine abhi dekha na kya karna hai…chalo main bata deti hoon…tab tak aap sab dinner carry on karo"

Adi – "Thank God nahin to meri foodie biwi ka pata nahin kya hoga"

Pinky made a face – "Main foodie hoon…aaj bhi baaz nahin aaoge na"

Geet – "Are baba tum log lado mat…chalo roof pe chalte hain…it will be fun"

Saying this three of them giggled and moved to the roof.

Maan came back after completing his call.

Juhi – "Beta Adi aur Pinky aaye hain"

Maan pretended to be surprised (if you still haven't caught on, they were his important call) – "Acha kaha hain?"

Nisha – "Woh abhi abhi Geet unhe chat pe le gayi hai"

Maan – "Oh ok…main bhi abhi aata hoon". Saying this Maan also ran to the roof where three of them were waiting for him.

Adi – "Saale pata nahin tere liye aur kya kya karna padega"

Maan hugged him and kissed Pinky on cheek – "Shut up….and Thanks"

Pinky gave pooja thaali to Geet – "Lo, hum donon to fast khol chuke hain ab tum bhi karlo" Pinky took Adi's hand and dragged him to opposite side giving Maan and Geet some privacy.

Geet shyly did the rituals. She first did aarti of moon and then offered water. She looked at the moon thru sieve and then turned to look at Maan thru sieve. She did his aarti and offered him sweet. Maan took a bite and then took glass of water giving her a sip. Then he took a sip from same glass and finally made her eat the sweet he had just taken a bite off. Geet bent down to touch his feet. He touched her shoulders as she touched his feet. He pulled her up and embraced her in a tight hug. He murmured in her hair – "You look beautiful Jaan…my Mishti" pulling her closer. Geet smiled and pecked him at his temple where her lips lingered.

They slowly came out of the embrace. Maan saw at his emotional love who looked alluring in moonlight. He put a finger underneath her chin to make her look in his eyes – "You are intoxicating today" He watched lovingly as her cheeks reddened hearing his words. He bent down to drink her nectar. She parted her lips giving him access to the elixir he craved.

She jolted with shock when she felt something cold touching her cheek. She came out of her kiss to see Maan holding a long thin gold chain with a very elaborate and intricate clasp with few ghungroo on the side. In her fuddled state she could not recognize it – "What is it Maan?"

Maan smiled –"Your gift Mishti" Saying this, he slipped his hand under her saree pallu and on her waist. Geet's eyes widened as she realized what it was. Maan nibbled her ears as his hands encircled the belly chain on her waist.

He got down on his knees and clasped the delicate chain on her white skin. She inhaled sharply as he kissed her skin along with the clasp. She dug her nails in her palms as he placed wet kisses on the waist turning her around slowly. At last he reached the clasp again. He opened his mouth wide and sucked in her skin making her moan out loud "Maan". Her knees went weak and she collapsed down. He held her close in her arms. She looked up as he gazed lovingly at her face.

Geet could not take the heat anymore and hid her face in her palms. Maan slowly prised her palms away to see a very unusual and dark mehndi design. Geet was startled by Maan voice "Misthi, yeh itna different design hai" Geet shied and brought her palms closer to his face. "This is a very special design. Isme aapka naam likha hai" Maan looked at her palms closely. "Lekin…." Suddenly it dawned on him. "This is in Urdu". Geet nodded coyly.

"Oh Mishti…I love you darling" Maan kissed her palms. "My name looks beautiful on your hands…sab se chupake tumne aaj dekho kitne pyaar se ise saja liya hai apne haathon mein"

Maan kissed her palms again and then leaned to kiss her on lips.

"Uh…Uh" Adi coughed lightly. Geet got up shying as she was practically sitting in his lap. Maan got up reluctantly and with clear irritation written upon his face for interruption. "Sorry Guys but your parents must be wondering. It has been more than 30 minutes"

Maan just nodded and four of them moved downstairs.

Main course was almost over. Nisha – "Hogayi Puja…aao ab khana khalo"

Adi – "Nahin Aunty phir kabhi. Pinky ne aaj bahut mehnat se sab kuch banaya hai to hum log ghar jaake hi dinner karenge"

Maan and Geet joined back and ate their dinner while others chatted around. Finally Nakul cleared the table and got the deserts.

Geet got up to help him. Suddenly Pari exclaimed – "Wow!!! Geet from where did you get this. I mean this is so cool….but yeh tumne pehna kab…how come I did not notice this before"

Everybody looked at Pari trying to decipher what she was talking about. Pari got up with exasperation and touched clasp of Geet's belly chain – "This is beautiful"

Geet blushed like hell as everyone was looking at Geet's waist now. But her mom's next comment just made her go beetroot. Nisha – "Now I know why they say this is the sexiest piece of jewellery made by man….it is so cool"

Geet – "Mom!!! Please aap log aise mat dekho…woh mujhe acha laga to maine kharid li thi….I am also surprised Pari ki tumne pehle nahin notice ki"

Juhi – "Sach mein bahut sundar hai Geet…it makes you look even more…what to say"

Annie pitched in – "Desirable"

Maan had the biggest grin on his face seeing his Mishti grilled by all the girls. He was satisfied seeing the attention and at some level envy his gift was generating.

Nisha pointed finger at Raj– "Dekha aapne…yehi cahiye mujhe next anniversary par…samjhe aap"

Juhi faced to Rishab - "Mujhe bhi"

Raj and Rishab were exasperated and looked at Geet – "See…Dekh kya kiya hai tune"

Rahul spoke – "Kyon meri behen ke peeche pade ho…I am so happy Guddan nahin to tu to kuch kharid ti hi nahin hai…ek hi master piece hai jise shopping pasand nahin."

Geet was relieved when finally Nakul came out with desert and said that the table as has been set in living room.

As they walked to living room Juhi remarked – "Kyon Geet, aaj bhi tune apne Bauji ka hi favorite Kheer banaya hoga"

Geet smiled – "Mujhe pata tha aap aisa hi kahoge. Isliye aaj maine aapke aur Mummy ke favorite malpue banaye hain"

Juhi beamed – "Sachi…lekin ek minute….banaye matlab…tune ghar me malpue banaye hain lekin who to bahut difficult hai"

(Guys who don't know malpue is a sweet dish which is like thin pancakes served in sweet syrup…it is quite difficult to make and especially to get right consistency and thickness)

Naintara jeered - "Lo phir to hogaya…ghar ke malpue mein bazaar wala taste aata hi nahin hai"

But everyone was surprised when they actually saw and ate them.

Pari – "Wow Geet, yeh to bilkul bazzar jaise hain"

Geet smiled. Nakul who was standing there said – "Last week se har roz raat ko ek ek batch banake itni baar practice kiya hai didi ne…acha to bana hi tha"

Juhi got emotional – "Sach mein Geet tu na pagal hai…office ke baad bhi tujhe na….itni mehnat ki tune…bahut ache bane hain laado"

Rishab tried to ease up the emotional situation – "Haan lekin aaj humara patta cut"

Geet nodded to Nakul and said cheesily – "Aisa kaise bauji, karvachauth ke din aapka paata kaise cut ho sakta hai, maine aapki fav kheer aur Pari / Rahul ki fav rasmalai bhi banayi hai…I am sure between three deserts aap sab ki favorites puri ho gayi hogi"

Everybody looked up at shock as Nakul came with extra bowls. He then came and placed a bowl of cold kheer in front of Maan.

Maan was speechless. He just looked with immense pride and love at the girl who was clearly queen of not only his heart but an angel of entire family.
