Jassi and Jogi exchange rings, and then take the blessings of the elders. Dhruv and Rajbeer watch. Dhruv says that they so easily replaced the rings, yet they accused poor Preeto and treated her so badly. Dhruv asks Rajbeer if he thinks that someone as sweet as Preeto would steal the ring.
Rajbeer remembers Preeto asking Geeta Aunty for jalebis for her sister, then the way she held his hand to keep Jogi and Jassi's truth from the elders. Dhruv asks Rajbeer where he is lost and asks him what he thinks. Rajbeer says that he doesn't hold an opinion in the matter and says as far as he knows one can't tell with girls. Dhruv asks him if he thought that Preeto stole the ring but Rajbeer says that he didn't mean that. He just doesn't want to hold an opinion for or against Preeto or think about her. Jogi comes and asks them what they're talking about. He realizes they must be talking about Preeto. Dhruv and Jogi both voice that they didn't like the way Preeto was treated today. Jogi says the elders in his house make the decision unfortunately and he couldn't even speak up in the defense of Preeto.
At Preeto's house everyone is watching Beend Banunga Ghodi Chadunga as Preeto massages Kanwal's feet. Sonu comments that she also wants to be a doctor like the lead and Meeta tells her not to worry and she will get married only after she becomes a doctor. Kanwal smiles and tells Preeto that she can take rest. She says her head is paining but she's putting medicine for her legs. Kanwal asks Preeto why she's looking so sad then. Preeto says she's just tired. The bell rings on the door and Preeto goes to answer it. Gagan is back form work but is surprised to see Preeto back before him today. He asks her about the wedding but Preeto tells him she will share all later and asks him to first eat as Meeta has made peas with cottage cheese. Gagan says he will be back and they will eat soon.
All of them eat together and Gagan compliments Meeta's cooking. He says his boss ordered food from some hotel but it had no taste but Meeta's food is the best. Bani asks Preeto if she's not hungry and Preeto says she's eating. Bani asks Preeto about the ring ceremony and Preeto just smiles and nods and says it is fine and then excuses herself. Ishu is worried and Kanwal asks Preeto to eat, but Ishu covers for Preeto and tells her that Preeto must be tired from all of the work and Preeto leaves.
Later in the night Bani makes a call to the guys she owes and says she doesn't have the money but she has something she can give him which he can sell and get the money. He tells her he wants his money and nothing else and asks her to sell it and get his money. Bani wonders where she can sell the ring.
Next morning, Kanwal serves breakfast and asks Gagan how come he is off as today isn't a Saturday or Sunday. Gagan says that his publishing house is open seven days a week and they get one day off so that is like a Sunday for them. Gagan asks about Preeto and she says that she will go when the people call her there. The door bell rings and Kanwal goes to answer. Pooja, Geeta Aunty's new assistant comes to ask for things from Preeto. Kanwal is surprised and wonders why Geeta replaced Preeto. Preeto rushes to the door and takes Pooja and says she will give the things to her before she can reveal anything to Kanwal. After Pooja leaves Kanwal asks her what the girl was talking about and Preeto says that she's an extra assistant and Geeta Aunty hired her for the decorations so she could handle the clothes and other things. Preeto says some of her things had remained so she's sending them. She says she will call Geeta Aunty and let her know. Kanwal looks convince and walks away as Preeto grabs her phone to make a call.
She goes through her history and notices a strange call that she didn't place and calls the number. The guy picks up and tells her that he wants his money and nothing else. Preeto asks whose number it is and the guy hangs up realizing it's not Bani. Preeto wonders who would have placed a call then realizes that Bani often uses her phone. Preeto rushes out in search of Bani and finds her and tails her. She sees her talking to a man and tries to eavesdrop wondering who Bani is meeting with. Preeto gets distracted as people move in front of her and when she moves to look for Bani she's gone. Preeto looks around for Bani and is stopped by someone familiar who asks Preeto if she can convert her sari into a suit. Preeto smiles and nods but is distracted as she looks for Bani. The girl tells her she will bring the clothes tomorrow and Preeto nods again then sets out to look for Bani.
In her distraction she almost steps in front of a car. Dhruv gets out and greets her. Preeto doesn't want to talk to him but he says he feels bad about the way she was treated and he doesn't think she stole the ring. Preeto tells him that he didn't speak in her defense yesterday and she doesn't need defending today and walks away. She can't find Bani so she wonders what Bani is upto and who is the man she is meeting.
Bani lands up at a jewelry store to sell the ring. The jeweler asks her what she wants and she tells him she wants to sell it. He tells her he will give her five for it meaning five hundred and Bani thinks five thousand. She thinks she can pay off her debt. Bani is disappointed when the owner just gives her five hundred. He gives her a little more but say she can't give her any more because there is no receipt and it can be a stolen ring. Bani says it's not stolen and she doesn't want to sell it any more. The owner tells her it must be stolen and Bani says it's her mom's. He asks her if her mom wears a man's ring. Bani tells him she doesn't want to sell and takes the ring and leaves. The owner is disappointed as the ring was worth two lakhs. He places a call.
Bani heads home and is followed by the man who she owes money to. He tells her he has one more thing to tell her. He talks for her a little while then leaves and Bani looks worried.
At Jassi's place, Jassi's parents hand Geeta Aunty her payment but deduct one lakh from it. Geeta Aunty protests and Jassi's mom says they had two lakhs worth of loss and Geeta had hired the girl. Geeta Aunty says it's not fair and says that yesterday they searched the girl and got nothing so they can't blame her. The other aunt who had accused Preeto and the Grandfather come. The Aunt talks about Preeto and says they should have handed her to the police. The grandfather says that they will not go to the police.
Jogi, Dhruv and Rajbeer are present and Dhruv wants to talk to them but Jogi stops him and says they can't interfere in the matter of the adults. Dhruv says that this isn't right. Preeto didn't steal the ring and no one can understand the plight Preeto is going through. He says he met Preeto at the market. Rajbeer asks Dhruv if Preeto is fine and Dhruv says she isn't fine. He says that Preeto's smile, the lightheartedness about her is all gone. He says today Preeto looked hurt and not like the Preeto he'd first met. Jogi says no ring is worth hurting a person like that. Rajbeer tells his friends not to worry and says if Preeto is innocent then no one can harm her.
Jassi's Aunt says that they should send the police to her house and if they keep her in prison for two days then she will automatically reveal the truth. Jogi, Dhruv and Rajbeer look worried.
