Part 67

It was mid February, the most happening week in the architecture department of MACT, it was a week of MAD MOODS, a week where 2^nd yr students welcomed 1^st yr students, it was a week of fun and frolic, various events weer held by the 2^nd yrs for the 1^st yrs and on the last day the 1^st year students threw cultural night in which the 5^th yrs were formally given a farewell.

Geet like her other class mates was excited about the event but, what will she do? Will his Dusht Danav boss give her a week's leave, she wondered. She was pacing in the office when Maan saw her and asked Lily what was her problem,

M: Lily, how is she early today, and is also looking quite down

L: Mad moods

M: oh, no wonder she needs to ask for leave, tell her that it's a very busy week and boss will not allow any absence

L: but, there is no such thing

M: come on Lily, let me have some fun

L: you will regret later, she will make you '

M: I even like her more when she makes it hard for me

L: you are really naughty

M: only for her

So Lily went to her

L: Geet what happened?

G: Di, I told you na, next week the mad moods are starting and the activities are mostly after classes

L: so

G: I will have to take leave

L: next week, no ways Geet, its a very busy week ahead, 4 late evening meetings and you are the one who will have to see, BTW I was thinking of asking you if you could quit classes for the next week as my in laws are coming and I may take leave

G: Di

L: OK, I'll tell my hubby to say no to them

G: no Di, I'll miss the events but you should not say so to your hubby he will feel bad, after all you are newly married

L: I am sorry Geet

G; its OK Di

Lily felt bad, but Maan was elated he knew that Geet will never let anyone suffer because of her.

On Sunday he called Geet to his cabin

M: Geet, sit

G: yes, sir

M: do I have any appointments?

G: yes sir, a lunch appointment with Mr. Dheer

M: OK, then lets go, its already 12:30

G: yes, sir

And she turned to leave, she did not once look at him, he knew why, listening to Lily's busy schedule she has decided to sacrifice her week of events

M: do you know any thing about why Lily will not come? I just don't understand how can she for no reason decide to take week off, do you have any idea, Geet?

G: yes, sir but you need not worry I'll be there for full day to accommodate her absence

M: your classes?

G: I will not miss much, waise bhi this week we don't have any classes

M: why?

G: some function in college, sir shall we leave its getting late

Maan nodded sensing her discomfort, he was sure his plan back fired, he wanted her to nag to crib to complain, but here she was standing silently with her sad eyes not even complaining once, all she was thinking was that Lily shall not be let down in her sasuraal.

She sat quietly in the car, and he just looked at her, even Gudu Miayan noticing her silence

GM: Bhabhi, are you OK?

G: yes, GM

GM: you look extra calm today, has Maan Bhai been troubling you?

G: no, I am a little occupied, its just that

GM: are you sure?

G: yes

Then GM looked at Maan as if asking what happened, Maan just smiled weekly and indicated that it was OK, he will cheer her up

Her Geet the most non complaining wife, she might be the greatest prankster but when it came for selecting her happiness or others smile, she would always choose others smile, how did I forget that this is the same Geet, who did not utter a word when the families were deciding his marriage with NT, her sister; she did not once complain, if VikramJeet wont have interfered it would have been very late and very hard to convince everyone, but Geet is Geet always trying to make others happy.

She was so lost in herself that she did not even notice that they were not heading to any restaurant or hotel, but were going to their home sweet home. Once inside the main gates, GM came out and opened the car door for Maan and then Maan went forward to open Geet's, sh e was surprised when he did so

M: Geet, we are there

G: Oh! I did not notice

And she came out and was taken aback

G: sir, here

M: yes, Geet, you forgot, you promised to have your Sunday lunch with me

G: but that Mr. Dheer

M: we don't have any clients by that name, you yourself mad eup that name

G: yes, now I remember
