My whole point is he is married to Anjali and secretly living with Khushi. We have NO clue what his background is, what his intentions are. Do I think he is creepy - YES - but is that the only thing about him - NO.

I think we are so used to CV's presenting characters only in one light that we only see them in that shade:

Arnav was mean so he will always be mean -

Khushi was bubbly and sweet so she will always be so -

Shyam is creepy, and so on...

If we are not prepared to see subtle shades in each character and have a discussion about it then the forum becomes 1) boring and 2) one sided.

If ASR was mean, he has also shown compassion

If Khushi was sweet, she has also shown meanness

and now we will get other shades of Shyam

I just don't get why some folks are so set on characters having to be one way. We want an interesting show, not a boring one.

I said it before and I'll say it again:

Shyam is the ONLY character with the ability to set chaos forth in both the Gupta and Raizada homes. He is that important.

Anu - really appreciate your post above.

Shyam is an important character . I never found him creepy but yeas at the beginning I found him boring . Now that he is Anjalis hubby means a lot. He is the liaison between Arnav and Khushis past .

The future track depends on whether Khushi has seemn Shyam with Anjali or not . Will Shyam return to Buajis house . If he is Khushis bro, is he for or against Khushi-Arnav relationship . Arnav is okay with him as Jijaji - means he has never behaved badly in the past .

And as far as meanness of Arnav is concerned - it seems people want his meanness back so that they can bash him again . Khushi sometime becomes bubbky to the limit tha she behaves live a clown .

I dont think Shyam has feelings for Khushi. I think he plans to ruin the Raizadas by avenging some yet to be revealed injustice that was done to him. They talk abt circumstances he married Anjali. Seems like Shyam took advantage of this and married Anjali. His meeting with Khushi seems contrived as well. It is strange how he appeared @ the right place @ the right time. Hope eventually he wakes up & realises he is in love with Anjali & is caught between hurting the woman he loves & revenge. Would love to see Anjali's love bring this villain to his knees & turns him into the paralell hero.
