He came near her and held her hand and a tear slipped from his eyes, with her other hand she wiped his eyes and smiled

G: she is your daughter. I promised.

M: thanks a million Geet, thank you

Soon due to tiredness she drifted to sleep, Dadi sends him with a list to bring few things needed from the market and also gave him the prescription to bring medicines. He went away

When Geet woke up he was still not there, DM smiled and helped her to sit

DM: he has gone to the market

G: how is Angel?

DM: she is sleeping, Geet do you name who's Meenakshi?

G: his mother

DM: you knew, I mean who told you?

G: he himself

DM: when, may be recently

G: no, long back

DM: long back, but he never talks about his mother, not even with me

G: DM are you feeling 'J'? (Giggled)

DM: why would I? but I was wondering when he told you?

G: Remember DM on our way back to Delhi from HSPur, I sat with him in the jeep, during the journey he told me everything

DM: (a little uncomfortable) every thing

G: yes, about you, Dada ji, his father, his mother, Vinita aunty, Vikrant Mama ji, Dev, Pammi, Vicky everyone

DM: Sameera?

G: no, he did not say any thing about Sameera, but recently he told me about her also

DM: when?

G: few months back when I asked him, about where she was?

DM: what did he tell you?

G: not much, only that she is his legal wife though he does not consider her his wife any more

DM: did he not tell you about the divorce '

G: yes, but you have those papers and you never submitted them

DM: who said, I never submitted them

G: Maan

Just then he enters the room

M: some one calling me

G: yes, DM was saying that she never

DM (interrupted): Maan give me, let me check, you read out the list I'll check

M: ok

Geet wondered why did DM not let her complete the sentence, just then Angel woke and gave a soft cry, DM rushed to wash her hands and then lifted the baby doll and gave her to Geet and

DM: Maan you better wait outside, she needs to be fed

M: ok

DM: why don't you bring some tea for her from the canteen? She will feel hungry after feeding her.

M: ok

Geet got discharged after 7 days and all the time Maan was in Shimla, Vicky came in for the weekend and was very happy to see the small wonder as he called her.

Maan went back to Delhi, and came every weekend to Shimla, while Geet and DM stayed there for whole 2 months. In between Brij called once asking about the baby and when he told them that she had a daughter Brij cribbed about her giving birth to a girl. One night Rajji called and asked how w\her Di doing and bow was Meenakshi, when he asked how did she know her name? She told that the day they came to KM, Geet told that she will call the baby Meenakshi. Maan was overwhelmed. One day Mohinder called asking if he can meet Geet, Maan told him that they better assume that Geet is no more in India and stay clear of her, if any day Geet will ask him to meet her family he will inform.

She came back on 22^nd April, and found the whole KM decorated with balloons, Vicky excitedly showed her the nursery Maan has designed and decorated, it had toys ranging from dolls to doll houses, from tricycle to bicycle

G: Vicky, she's so small she will not be able to play with all this; she only needs rattlers at present

V: I am no the one to be blamed, bro would have brought the whole market if I would not have dragged him from there

G: it's ok

V: oh, if bro did all this its ok and you were scolding me

G: he is very happy and excited

V: bro's excitement is excitement and mine is nothing

G (hit his arm): stop pulling my legs, where is Maan?

V: look back

And there he was standing with his hands folded and leaning on the door frame, he had a big smile on his face.

the way Handa's are showing their concern now irritates me. earlier they were not bothered and now due to social pressure and the fact that she is Bahu of such a big family is making them pretend that they are worried.

Brij cribbed for the girl child, a real non sense man.

Mohinder was told sternly to keep clear of her, I cut short the conversation of Maan with Handa's as i did not feel like writing that part

but if you want i can write that also

now you know why she choose Meenakshi as her Angel's name, Meenakshi was his late mothers name

many of you guessed it right, thanks for reading the ff with full concentration and paying attention to minor details, you all showed that you all like this one

Hello Shruthi,

Sorry for being late with my comments. Loved the way how Geet and Maan care for each other. I am happy that both Maan and DM kept Geet's family away. I am waiting to see both Geet's and Maan's feelings for each other. Not so happy with how Dadimaa got Maan's and Geet's signature on the paper. She shouldn't have done that even it was for a good cause.
