Rashmi's wedding jitters

Wedding celebrations are on in full vigour at the Singhania household in STAR Plus' prime time show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hain wherein the youngest daughter of the family Rashmi aka Neha Chandra Saroopa is getting married to her dream boy Nikhil. Rashmi is currently feeling a myrid range of emotions from anxiousness, to sadness to happiness regarding her marriage.

The bride-to-be, Rashmi, who is having wedding jitters, says: "I am excited yet nervous about my marriage. In a few days I will be married and not be able to stay with my ma, bauji, dadaji. As every family member is busy with the preparations, it is a very emotional moment for me."

Of course she is nervous but happiness isn't too far off. "I feel like this is a dream. I am happy that my wedding will be so lavishly, just like my dream wedding. Moreover, I am happy to get married to my dream man – Nikhil, who is outgoing and modern and thereby my Mr. Perfect. After rejecting two proposals, I am glad to have found him. I always wanted a modern yet rooted guy which Nikhil is. I am happy that everyone in my family too sees these qualities in him. I hope everything goes off smoothly and there are no glitches during the marriage rituals."

With tensions engulfing her in the past few days with a bad wedding planner and the robbery, she adds: "Yes there was a lot of tension during the haldi ceremony as the haldi from my in-laws side came late, then during Palla ceremony, my in-laws brought a wedding dress for me which was not in the traditional red colour. It was quite modern so buaji didn't like it. Later dadu fractured his leg during my sangeet and then the robbery. Now everyone is rushing to arrange things and I hope during the main ceremony there won't be any more problems."

Amidst all her problems, she feels the support of her bhabhi Akshara who understands her completely. "Bhabhi has always tried to solve my problems. Be it my dresses, blouse or other important pre-marriage rituals like Mehndi or Haldi. I am learning a lot from her about responsibility, managing a family, being patient, adjusting to the lifestyle of my new family. I am surely going to miss everyone in my family even Maharaji and Gulabo."
