It's Lizzy! 😉 I know Onu is totally your creation for the story yaar, I'm laughing because generally coconut characters are funny (and fun) to write...my own OS series, the one I'm updating right now, has Onu go from soft and squishy to coconut types, so I'm remembering my own journey of writing him when you made that character sketch...you should read it sometime! 😆

P.S: Last sentence was a comment on the 'coconut' nature...people with this kind of nature look very tough and all, but are real sweethearts inside!

In the midst of deep darkness which seemed nothing less than a pure black world, a girl was walking on a lonely road. Her long silky hairs, which came up to her hip and which covered the half portion of her face, was blowing heavily with the wind. She was lost in her ocean of thoughts. While walking, she didn't realize that she came up to the edge of a hilly area. As she took a more step and was about to fall, she felt someone's tight grip holding her hand and pulling her back to himself. She closed her eyes in fear. He encircled her in his strong arms and said in his husky voice, "Taani, jab tak main hoon, tumpar ek kharoch bhi nahi aa sakti." The fear in her face vanished. She smiled feeling the warmth and protectiveness of the man close to her, her love of her life.

"Taani! Taani! Uth, warna phir se bus miss ho jaayegi.", a voice which seemed like of a woman of middle forties, said while shaking the girl who was sleeping under the blanket. "Umm.. Umm..", the girl blabbered in her sleep.

The middle forties' woman slammed her hand with her forehead and said in disgust, "Durga re durga! Ay ladki kokhono shudrobe na (Yeh ladki kabhi nahi sudhregi)." Saying that, she brought a glass of water from the kitchen and pulled the blanket off the girl's face which was covered by her black silky hairs. As the woman poured all the water on the girl's face, she jerked up and said angrily, "Maa, aap ne mera kitna accha sapna tod diya."

The woman smilingly said, "Taani, tu toh humesha hi sapne dekhti hai. Par yeh bhul jaati hai ke time kya hua hai."

We are shown the face of the girl who is none other than our angel Taani. "Kitna time hua hai, Laboni Maa?", Taani said in irritation. "Saare aath baj gaya, pagli.", The woman, who is none other than our roshogolla Laboni Maa, said hitting Taani's forehead.

"Shaare aath beje geche? (Saare aath baj gaye?)", Taani shouted in shock widening her eyes. Saying that, she jumped off her bed and ran to the bathroom. Laboni Maa shook her head and smiled as she knew that this was one of the daily routine of her dearest daughter Taani.

"Jaldi aaja! 5 minute mein bus aane waali hai.", Laboni Maa shouted.
Taani shouted from inside the bathroom, "Aati hoon, maa."

Laboni Maa was busy in preparing lunch in the kitchen. Taani came running to the dinning table, wearing her comfortable pink coloured t-shirt, tight blue jeans and a light coloured scarf around her neck.

"Fataafat naashta karle.", Laboni Maa said from the kitchen.
Taani hurriedly kept her lunch box in her bag. Taking an apple from the fruit basket and a mini orange juice bottle from the fridge, she shouted, "Maa, main chalti hoon."

"Naashta toh karle.", Laboni Maa came to Taani and said.
Taani said in a single breath, "Maa, abhi bilkul time nahi hai. Office jaakar kuch khaa lungi. Abhi bye haan."
"Par..?!", Laboni Maa said worriedly.
Taani hugged her mother and said cutely, "Maa, tumi chinta korona (aap chinta mat karo). Main office jaakar hi kuch khaa lungi. Abhi plz jaanedo."
Laboni Maa shouted while Taani rushed outside, "Taani bahar ka khaana accha nahi hota.." By the time she would finish her sentence, Taani was gone. She sighed realizing that and went back to the kitchen.

"Arey bus roko! Rukjaao!", Taani kept running behind the bus and shouting but by this time, it was gone. She irritatedly said to herself, "Damn! Bus toh gayi. Waise bhi 3 din se office late pohoch rahi hoon. Kab naukri se bahar hi nikaal de!", she said and sighed.

With no choice, she sat on the bench in the bus stop. Just then, a white Corolla car stopped in front of her. She looked up to the car and a broad smile curved on her face. The door of the backseat on her side opened as if someone from inside opened it for her. She sat inside the car. "Driver, chalo!", the man in black suit, inside the car, who was working on his laptop, ordered to the driver.

"Aap Bangalore se kab vaapas aaye?", Taani asked to the man with a shy smile. "Kal!", the man replied roughly. Taani looked in front and broadly smiled. "Chalo, accha hua, aab at least mujhe bus ki tension lene ki zarurat nahi hai.", she said mischievously.

"Tum jaldi nahi uth sakti?", The man asked coldly, still busy with his laptop. Taani turned her face beside and said naughtily, "Agar jaldi uthti toh aap ke saath, aap ke gaari mein, aap ke bagal mein baithe huye, thoda samay kaise bitaa paati?"

The man angrily shut off his laptop. We are shown his face and he is none other than Anurag Ganguly, the angry-young man. Taani look straight in nervousness. "Taani ji, jaldi se apna iPod kaan mein daaliye warna yeh phir se aap par baras parenge.", Taani said in her mind.

Even before Anurag could say anything to Taani, Taani took out her iPod nano and put her headphones in her ears. She leaned herself at the back. Closing her eyes, she said softly, "Jab office aaye toh bataa dena."

Anurag's anger vanished within a few seconds. He gazed at Taani for a long time and admired her simplicity. She had no makeup, no ornaments, like the other girls, yet she was looking so beautiful, so innocent and so elegant, he thought in his mind.

Taani slightly smiled and said, "Kab tak aise chup chup ke dekhte rahenge?" Hearing that, Anurag quickly turned his face away towards the window. Taani shook her head and smiled a little slighter.

Anurag stared at the cloudy sky and felt himself lost. "Driver, AC bandh karo.", he ordered. After AC was turned off, he opened the glass of the window. A cold breeze blew inside the car through the window. A smile curved on Anurag's face as he felt it.

"Aaacchhuuu!", Taani sneezed loudly opening her eyes. "Bless me!", she said to herself.

"Tum barish mein bhigi thi kya?", Anurag instantly turned around and asked in his as-usual rude yet concerned tone. "Haan!", Taani replied and slightly smiled seeing Anurag's concern for her.

Anurag turned his face towards the window again without saying a word. Taani shook her head and sighed. She closed her eyes and leaned again at the back with her headphones in her ears.

Suddenly she felt no breeze coming inside. Taani opened her left eye and saw Anurag closing the window. She closed her eyes again, broadly smiled and said to herself in her mind, "Kitni fikar karte hai yeh mere."

Anurag looked at Taani from the corner of his eye and saw Taani's eyes closed. Seeing that, he turned his face towards her. Seeing the way she was sneezing, he smiled a little and said in his mind, "She looks so cute!"

The worry lines suddenly showed up on his forehead. He took his office bag and searched for something inside it.

"Yeh lo!", Anurag said giving a medicine bottle to Taani. Taani opened her eyes and took the bottle. "Yeh kya hai?", she asked him. "Isse sardi 2-3din mein theek ho jaayegi.", Anurag replied.

Taani broadly smiled and said, "Aap ko itni fikar hai meri?!" Anurag stared at her coldly and said in his arrogant tone, "Mujhe tumhari nahi, apne business ki chinta hai. Main nahi chahta hai mere kisi employee ke bimaar hone ke vajah se mere business par koi effect padhe."

Taani raised her brows and said, "Oh accha! Toh yeh baat hai." Taking the medicine with the orange juice she had in her bottle, she said smilingly, a kind of forcefully smile, emphasizing on a specific word, "Don't worry sir! Aap ke business padh koi effect nahi padhegi. Aur khaas kar meri vajah se toh kabhi nahi."

"Hmm!", Anurag said and turned his face to the window again. "Kab tak aap mujhse apna pyaar chupaayoge, Anurag?" On the other side, Anurag, wiping off a drop of tear from his eye, said guiltily in his mind, "Jitna tumhe dard deta hoon, utna hi apne aap ko kostaa hoon. Mujhe maaf kardena Taani."

Precap:
Taani cuts her finger accidently. Anurag runs to her and sucks the blood that was bleeding. Taani stares at Anurag with teary eyes and says, "Aap mujhse bohot pyaar karte hai, haina?" Anurag looks up at Taani, shocked and speechless.
