I like the way CVs have handled their confrontation. They are slowly putting Kesar and Gulaal on the same footing which is something I really appreciate.
Love the beginning of course. Gulaal finally realised that she hurt Kesar with her inaccurate accusations, he too have feelings that should be respected. And Kesar, after cooling off a bit, we see him coming back, having a look at Gulaal and even though he is pain over what she said cannot help himself but giving in the impulse to take care of her. But what I really really loved was what happened after. Gulaal wakes up and wants to apologise but Kesar makes her see he is not ready for that yet. In that little scene Kesar showed us that yes he loves gulaal but that doesn't mean that he would accept everything she dishes at him. Despite his caring/loving gesture, his 'it's already late' made it clear that he is still really hurt, pained by her allegations and no he hasn't forgotten and no he is not ready to hear her side just yet. I loved it as usually CVs tend to make the male lead in a female oriented show as a willing carpet or a jerk that the heroine has to reform. Here it's not the case, both are becoming equals and I absolutely love it.
Then those scenes with Gulaal trying to appease Kesar were cute. Manasi did a good job in her portrayal of a sorry Gulaal with a little playfulness, mischievousness to boot it was really cute. Her eyes seeking him out, observing his everything actions and reactions to try and go through his defenses that all with cute gesture and that smile it was all a refreshing role reversal as you said.
The dinning table scene was another favorite moment of mine. Kesar's innocence and joy at the simple mention of his favorite dishes being served and him absolutely not aware of it being an olive branch from gulaal until JK pointed it out...Then Gulaal shyness at a public mention of her attention/affection for Kesar. She was like a wife waiting shyly for her husband's appreciation of her loving/caring gesture đ...
I also loved the fact that what happened in this epi was just to make Kesar realised that Gulaal is genuinely sorry but his acceptance of her gestures isn't really his forgiveness...The precap showed a conversation between the two where the true forgiveness would take place. He didn't outright melted because he is conscious that it isn't enough and that the situation needs a more serious resolution. This epi was just paving way for that. I know I'm not clear but I don't really how to put what I feel into words đł
I'm also excited at the propect of the new dynamic between KG now. Kesar has made peace with himself about his feelings towards Gulaal and Gulaal has finally accpeted that Kesar's love is not just a brahm but that doesn't that he would force her into anything she doesn't want...
Now I think all that is left is to somehow make Gulaal realise she has a right to love Kesar, that loving him is not a paap...
