Big TV awards? New Serial Watcher!

I'm born and raised in Vancouver, Canada (34 yrs old) and never thought I'd watch indian serials. i would see my mom watching them and just roll my eyes and laugh at them: at the long pauses on their faces, the overly dramatic twists but then one late night, i was so bored, nothing on and I went to the ATN channel and there was this episode of a show called "Sasural Genda Phool". I watched the episode, found myself laughing at the Ishaan and Suhana's antics and then the next night watched again to see what was happening. That was it. I was hooked. It was unlike any other serial I had seen little pieces of, the love story was great, dadaji-dadi-ji were funny, the shows were just light hearted fun with some sweet romance and i thought finally, something different. I haven't visited India in a long time and it is interesting that the more I have watched the show, seen the gol guppa stands, the places they travel etc. it has actually made me more interested in experiencing it.I think I've had a one dimensional image of India and am slowly realizing there is a lot more to it. the food, the history and mainly, the people seem to have different priorites, not as materialistic as here. the funny thing is that a TV serial made me open my eyes a little lol. I have gone back and started watching the series from the beginning; I'm at the part where Suhana slaps Sonali, looking forward to seeing what happens. the only problem is I have had to find other sites to watch the episodes because for some reason, I don't think the videos play in Canada. Now comes my question, I saw a clip of these awards where I think Jay won an award, jay and Raj won garma garam couple, and they had a dance number on the awards. Was this the Big TV awards and if it was, does anybody know where you can watch it? I would love to see it. Anyways, its good to see so many fans of SGP, I just hope it keeps going, has good ratings and people watch because the rest of the Indian serials seem the same and SGP is different, amazing chemistry bewtween Jay/Rag and very sweet moments. Keep up the great work. It must be a great show to convince a guy like me to become a fan, you should see my friends here, they make so much fun of me!

Your encounter with SGP is the same as mine, good thing is that many of SGP fans are like us who don't watch other serials. Anyways you are watching the bests part of SGP. You will have many many more good episodes and then you will be surprised to see how an excellent serial becomes an ordinary one . But we are still hooked to it.
