Technically speaking, Kartik has 8 mothers - Parvati, her legal mother; Ganga, who gave birth to him; and the 6 Kritikas who brought him up...

There's a reason why polytheism died out fast in Europe and Central Asia - due to the strict and restrictive Abrahamic religions which declare God as infinite and formless and anyone who claims to worship 'forms' or 'names' of God are blasphemous and invites cruel punishments. This is why Christ was crucified by the Jews - because he claimed to be a manifestation (son) of God. Even in Islam, Christ is not a God, but another holy prophet. Christians are a 'bit' relaxed as they believe in the holy trinity, although, officially, they too call themselves monotheists..

^^^ Christ was crucified by Romans, not Jews. Don't believe everything you saw in that Mel Gibson movie.
Greece was conquered by the Roman empire long before the introduction of Christianity, so Christianity was by no means responsible for the disappearance of the ancient Greek religion. Also, the Partheon was sacked by the Ottoman Turks.
The Roman religion disintegrated after the fall of the Roman empire at the hands of both invaders like the Huns, the Visigoths, etc. The Holy Roman Empire really had no connections w/ the original Roman empire. As for the Vikings, they remained Norse until the Lutheran church spread Protestant to those countries.
Central Asia - was conquered by the Persians, and under the Median empire, it became Zoroastrian, and remained that way until the middle ages.

In John 19:12 Pilate seeks to release Jesus, but the Jews object, saying: "If thou release this man, thou art not Caesar's friend: every one that maketh himself a king speaketh against Caesar" bringing the power of Caesar to the forefront of the discussion. In John 19:12 the Jews then cry out: "Crucify him! ... We have no king but Caesar."

Jews were very much instrumental in Jesus' crucifixion as he had claimed to be Son of God, which is directly against Judaism...Besides the Roman accused him of rebellion against the empire owing to the title of 'King' that followers of Jesus allegedly used...

But I never said that Christianity was responsible for decline of Hellenism..I said that Abraahamic cults were responsible. Indeed Christianity came much later, but Judaism was very much present and it certainly had a part to play in decline of polytheistic Greco-Roman religions..
