Vicky was there was 2 weeks and those were the most entertaining days at KM, DM was very very happy, Maan was seen smiling often, and Geet she had got a brother, a loving adoring brother she never had, hers was strict and stubborn; Anaya also joined them thrice for lunch and once she was accompanied by Yash, and as Geet and Vicky knew it before hand they invited Adi and Pinky also for lunch, Pari was very nervous, but the trio Anaya, Geet and Vicky they made it a most innocent marriage proposal. When Adi came in with Pinky and Pari, Vicky called Anaya to come with Yash and her parents,

V: hello Adi, hello Pinky Bhabhi

A: hello, Vicky, how are you? Hope this time you have come to stay?

V: I am here for my vacations my classes resume in a week, so will have to go

Pinky: only to come back, Maan missed you

A: yes, he had started seeing you as his right hand

G: that he is, right Vicky

V: right Geet, I am and will always be bro's right hand, his Lakshman

A: that's it. Keep it up

And he went to join Maan, who was watching them with a smiling face. Pinky joined DM and Geet waited for Anaya to come, they have told Maan about the plan, and he agreed being amused by how desperate they were to help Pari and Yash. After few mins Yash came in with his family and Anaya, after formal introductions, Anaya joined Geet and her mother DM while her father and Yash Maan and Adi.

Lunch went well as she served the dessert Geet nudged Maan to start, he looked around and shrugged, she gave him a daring look and he sighed and gave up

M: so Yash what are you doing?

Y: I work for infinite solutions in a capacity of senior architect

M: they do not have a branch here

Y: yes sir, I am posted at Bangalore

M: you came here on a holiday

Y: yes sir, as my leaves have accumulated and if I do not take them by this year they will be wasted.

M: so, what do you think about this new material they are launching

Y: it's very nice, the total costing of the material goes quite high but over a period of time it pays back

A: don't you think it would have been nice if the launch would have been done after holy, which is the peak time (Adi joined in unable to keep himself away from the discussion, Maan moved to the background)

The discussion continued Yash's father also joined in and they talked on various topics Adi was quite impressed by Yash. They did not even realize that it was tea time

G: tea time take a break from all this and have tea

Mean while DM talked to his mother and introduced her to Pari, the lady was quite impressed by Pari and her innocence.

While all were having tea, Maan took Adi in a corner

M: Adi I was thinking will Yash not be nice for Pari

A: Pari, but she is just a kid

M: kid, look at her from which angel she looks like a kid to you, she is a grown up woman of marriageable age

A (shocked): how come I never noticed? Yes you are right she had grown up

M: so what do you think about Yash

A: he is good but will he agree and his parents

M: look there his mother and sister don't you think they like her

A; may be, let me talk to Pinky

The couple discussed the potential and DM did the same to Yash's parents

By the end of the evening everything was fixed and engagement was to take place after 4 days.

Long after everyone left, Maan took Geet out in the garden for a walk, he daily took her out for a walk as doctor suggested.

M: Geet, how do you manage all this so easily?

G: IDK

M: you do not seem to be happy

G: Maan, why did my parents not do all this for me, why did they marry me off to the first guy who approached, why?

M: Geet, look at me, don't think about things that can not be changed, just think about today

G: you know Maan, what hurt me the most?

M: what?

G: when I went to the kitchen Aunty ji asked DM who I were?

M closed his eyes; it never occurred once that this could be asked

G: and DM said I were the Badi Bahu and as I am expecting I dressed simple, Maan how long will you all keep on lying for my sake, how long? It hurts

Maan did not know what to say he just side hugged her and wiped her tears.
