Bani - Gratitude, Guilt or Love? Q & A!

We all blame Jai (I do a lot, whenever he asks for it!) whenever he goes wrong, like in yesterday's episode...but don't you guys think that whatever is happening is also because of Bani's attitude towards the whole issue?

Don't you think that in an unequal relationship, the victim is as much to blame as the victimized? If Jai is tormenting Bani emotionally, isn't she opening her heart deliberately infront of him so that he can hurt her?

A few episodes back, when there was a confrontation between Jai and Bani, she had broken down and confessed to Jai that the only reason she is staying in the house is so that he can be happy....because somehow making her life miserable, gives some amount of satisfaction and happiness to Jai....and hence Bani is willing to let go of her self-respect, her happiness and her peace of mind for the sake of his happiness....Bani all but declared her love for him! And Jai understood every word that she said and also the ones she could not say....that is why later he tells her that he is as lonely as she is, but he just cannot help her in anyway, even though he wants to...

I sometimes fail to understand Jai....but then come to think of it, in comparison to Bani, he is far easier to fathom out! We know that whatever Jai has been doing to Bani is because of the major emotional crisis he went through and since he has had a protected life all through, he found it especially difficult to cope with what happened to him, which was in no measure less than a catastrophe. And now what he is doing to Bani is probably because of the "break of trust" he has experienced from Bani (Thanks to Jigyasa and Ranveer) and partly because he wants to settle his scores through the easiest available target.

But Bani is the one who confuses me the most...what is making her go through this horrid, emotionally battered, one-sided and torturous relationship? Is it Love for Jai? But then Bani has not even realized fully that she is in love with him? And Bani has been putting up with Jai's irrational anger and ire for the past 3 months since they have been married. Agreed, she did make a feeble attempt to get out of the relationship twice, but failed....but then when she did get a golden opportunity to save her skin, why did she come back herself to the Hell that she had left?

Is it the feeling of Gratitude and Guilt that is weighing on Bani's mind that is making her into a punching-bag for Jai? But Gratitude for what? What has Jai done for Bani? Given her a house to live and a job to earn? But then, where was the "Gratitude" part in it? Bani did not beg for it, Jai gave all that he did to Bani and her sisters on his own account and more specifically on his own Terms & Conditions....he gave a promotion to Bani, because he felt that she deserved it and not because she asked for it, he made Bani and her sisters come to his house because he wanted to spite his sister and not because Bani begged him to let them inside his house.

And thereafter whatever Jai did for Bani, was only and only prompted by his Infatuation for Pia....hence, I think that what Jai did was intially out of the innate goodness of his heart and therafter sheer selfish motive! So, atleast I don't think that Jai has done any gratitude on Bani till date! But unfortuantely, Bani continues to think so!

And then the Guilt of what Pia and Pushkar did to Jai? Why does Bani have to become the "Atlas" who took the whole weight of the world on his shoulders? The only mistake Bani did here was not disclose to Jai about Pia's past and here too, I believe that Bani did so only with the intention of not breaking Jai's heart and not landing Pia and Pushkar in trouble. Another major letdown from Bani has been getting Pia and Pushkar married at Jai's house, that was definetly a wrong move...but again it was not done with the intention of hurting Jai and Bani appeared to be genunily guilty and shaken when she saw how much it has affected Jai...come to think of it, from that day onwards, she has been completely devoted to Jai in every way possible!

As far as I can see, the biggest crime that Bani has committed has been to fall in love with Jai....knowing that he is very much capable of using that emotion against her! Love is the only reason that Bani is putting up with all that Jai is hurling towards her....and Love can be the only reason that one day Bani will put a stop to this!

So, my big question to you all to ponder and write back during this weekend is;

What is the single, most important reason behind Bani staying put with Jai? Is it the onus of his gratitude that makes her carry on loyally, is it the guilt of Pia, Pushkar and her own mistakes that drives Bani to self-annhilism for Jai or is it plain, simple and blind Love that complels Bani to stay with Jai, come what may?

i think it first started it out as a 'repaying' sort of thing as she felt guilty for what happened to him as she felt that his only crime was to fall in love with pia and that is not even a crime. but i think now that she is falling in love with jai, that is something that is also adding to her whole dreary situation. she is torn between her own dignity and love.

btw i do think that mondays episode is going to be interesting as i have a feeling that bani will not take the keys and mausi will come to know the truth.

hmm well first when she got married at that time she stayed coz of the guilt of pia and puhskar what they did but now it seems she has forgotted that guilt thing and is now up to the love thing

It is LOVE and nothing else. Pyar mein itna logic dunda nahi karte... kyunki usmein Logic hota hi nahi hai.
Itna soch samajkar koi pyar thode na karta hai?

In Love u can look beyond anyhting but not that one person u love. Same with Bani... she can overlook anything but not beyond Jai.

i think she started with gratitude .... went on to guilt ... but now its only love that keeps her in the hell....
she's sufferring coz she's fallen for him....

i agree Jai didn't oblige her ... his conditions were always there... job house et all....

Bani selfless love for others is her main problem. Its natural has she is lonely and wants an anchor in her life but unfortunately she geting only sadness in return. 😭 I hope she stands up for herself once and let Jai know that she truly loves him and she is leaving him because he has failed to understand her true meaning of love for him and then starts to begin her life in fresh manner away from Jai ignorance and hatred. 😡 Hope then he will truly miss her and will search for far and wide 😊

wow i think its all of em....firstly it all cuz of her soft n sweet nature.......like in the beginning when she first got married to jai at tht time all though she never imagined tht she will once b married to jai😉......she stayed due to the guilt of pia, pushker and her own mistakes as she felt n understood the pain tht jai was going through.....but little by little it moved on to the next step of loyalty toward jai😊......n then ofcourse little did she noe....but she fell simply n blindly in luv w/ jai❤️.......n she just cudn't help it......n this will become her most important reason to stay bak n figth for her right as jai's wife 😳😳😳

Well I think it is little bit of everything you said- Gratitude, guilt and her Love for Jai.
But there are 2 reasons she stays in this relationship for.
Her forgiving nature and taking responsibility for what Jai is going thru. It is classic case of a spouse staying in abusive marraige and hoping that it will all change one day.
Sanctity of marraige- Since Jai does not want her to leave, she will stay as an obedient wife would. I think she is the type that believes in making marraige work no matter how long it takes. Somehow she knows that Jai needs her and is dependent on her even though he uses her as a punch bag. They have a relationship even if it is of hatred and she believes that his wrath will turn to love one day as her MO is to believe in Love.

Well Bani staying with jai is basically at present situation is becoz of all the three reasons. Initially she was staying with him becoz she has a lot of respect for jai and she knows pia and pushakr did wrong and she has to pay for it. Then later when she started to understand his feelings she was heartbroken by him. Later unknowingly she was falling for him which overtook the baove two reasons. Nw she is staying just becoz she is madly in love with jai... and so even if Jai breaks her hearth more if wont effect her much..
she is in love with him and is not expecting anything... so her love has no boundaries.. its selfless and its a true and deep love...
Jai is really lucky... to have bani..
