hmm mayank is just attracted towards her and out n out casanova...hope he realizes his mistakes soon n changes himself 4 betterment..cant wait to see mayur falling 4 each other..specially mayank..continue soon.

Mayank came out of his washroom wearing a black-colored vest and the towel around his arms. He dried his wet hairs with the towel, threw it on his bed and headed towards his cupboard. Taking out his favorite blue shirt and wearing it, he stood in front of the mirror. He combed his hairs and was about to go out of his room, when suddenly, his cell phone, which was kept on his bed, buzzed.

He walked near his bed and took his phone in his hands. Seeing the name flashing on his phone screen, he got extremely angry. He received the call.

"Aap ko koi bhi baat theek se samajh mein nahin aati kya? Maine kitni bar kaha hain ke mujhe phone mat kijiye. Phir bhi aap mujhe aise pareshaan karte hain. Problem kya hain aap ki?", Mayank said in one breath furiously.

A man on the other line pleaded, "Beta, meri baat toh suno."

"Mujhe aap ki koi baat nahin sunni. Aur please, main aap ka beta nahin hoon. Suna aapne, I'm not your son. Dubaara mujhe phone karke mera mood kharab mat kijiye. Main aapki awaaz bhi sunna pasand nahin karta.", Mayank said angrily.

"Beta, mujhe apni galti sudharne ka ek mauka toh do.", said the man.

"JUST SHUT UP MR. SUDHIR SHARMA! JUST SHUT UP. AAP KIS MU SE APNE USS GUNAAH KO GALTI KEHE RAHI HAI? DON'T YOU DARE FORGET THAT MY MOM COMMITTED SUICIDE BECAUSE OF YOUR ONE BLOODY MISTAKE. YOU KILLED MY MOM! AUR EK BAAT APNE DIMAAG MEIN ACCHI TARAH SE BITHA LIJIYE. NEXT TIME AGAR AAPNE MUJHE PHONE KIYA TOH ANJAAM ACCHA NAHIN HOGA.", shouted Mayank and disconnected the call.

He took out a photo-frame from the drawer of his bed-side table and stared at the photo. In the photo was a beautiful woman with a smiley and innocent face.

With tears filled his eyes, Mayank said, "Kyun chod kar chali gayi aap mujhe, maa?!" Tears continued to roll down his cheeks as he closed his eyes and remembered the lifeless face of his mother, the woman whom he loved the most in the whole world.

After a while, he oped his eyes, wiped off his tears and said sternly, "Mr. Sudhir Sharma, agar aapne meri maa ko dhoka nahin di hoti, toh shayad aaj woh mere saath hoti. Main kisi bhi kimat par aap ko maaf nahin kar sakta. Kabhi nahin."

He stared at the picture again and remembered the day when the photo was clicked. He remembered what his mother always used to tell him whenever he was angry.

"Beta! Itni gussa karne theek nahin hain. Jyada gussa health ke liye dangerous ho sakta hain. Iss liye humesha shaanti se rahena aur logo se pyaar se baat karna, gusse se nahin."

As he remembered his mother's words, he tensely said to himself, "Mujhe Nupur se aise rudely behave nahin karna chahiye tha. Kisi aur ka gussa maine uss par nikaal diya. I should apologize to her."

After taking bath, Nupur was restlessly searching for something in her belongings. She searched her purse but didn't get it. She got annoyed and said, "Damn! Kaha rakkha hain maine?"

Suddenly her breaths started getting heavy. She began to sweat and tears rolled down her cheeks. "I need that right now. I'm gonna die without it. I want it. I need it.", she said in one breath.

"Shayad luggage bag mein hoga.", Saying that, she walked to her bag and knelt down to open it. She opened the zip of the bag and started searching inside it restlessly. She threw all her dresses on the floor while searching it and at last she saw a small packet of drugs at a corner of the bag. She took it in her hands and poured all the drugs' powder on her palm. Heavily breathing, she instantly put all the power inside her mouth and felt relaxed.

Just then someone knocked at her door which made her jerk in nervousness. She stood up while her legs were shivering and went up to the door. She opened it and saw a servant standing there.

"Kuch kaam tha?", Nupur asked.

"Mayank Sir ne aap ko niche bulaaya hain lunch ke liye.", said the servant.

Nupur said, "Aati hoon." and closed the door.

Mayank and Nupur were eating lunch. Silence took place in between them. Both were looking down and quietly eating when Mayank decided to speak up.

"Nupur," said Mayank.

Nupur looked up to face Mayank and said, "Hmm?"

"I'm sorry!", Mayank said with guilt in his voice.

Nupur stared at Mayank for a moment confusingly and said after a while, "Kyun?"

"Mujhe realize hua ke maine kuch jyada hi rudely behave kiya tumse. Issi liye I'm sorry.", Mayank said.

Nupur slightly smiled and said, "Aur yeh kaise realize hua aap ko?"

"Meri maa humesha mujhse ek baat keheti thi ke jyada gussa karna theek nahin hain. Aaj woh baat yaad aa gayi, bas issi liye.", Mayank said emotionally with tears filled his eyes.

Nupur was touched by this sudden change of behavior in Mayank. She realized that Mayank was something else inside which was unfamiliar to others. She said emotionally, "Meri maa bhi mujhse yehi keheti thi."

Mayank slightly smiled as he remembered the smiley face of his mother and said, "Yeh sab maaye kitni pyaari hoti hain, haina?"

"Haan! Aur naseeb waalo ke sar pe hi maa ke saaya raheta hain.", Nupur said and slowly tears began to roll down her cheeks.

Nupur quickly wiped off her tears as she didn't want Mayank to notice that. But Mayank noticed her tears already.

This emotional side of Nupur touched Mayank's heart. He didn't expected it at all. He felt as if he was sitting with a different Nupur today. Last night, the Nupur he met was a party-lover and fun-loving girl. But this Nupur? This Nupur was just the opposite. There was an emptiness reflecting in her eyes. This had made him understand one thing for sure, that is, a smiley person is not always happy. Sometimes a person pretends to smile and to be happy just to hide his/her pain from others.

Mayank was deeply lost in his thoughts until a servant interrupted him saying, "Sir, aap ke liye Ria ma'am ka phone hain." Saying that, he gave Mayank the phone and left.

"Nupur, tum khaw, main abhi aata hoon.", Mayank said to Nupur and went to other room.

"Hello!", said Mayank in a low tone.

"Baby, tum mere ghar aane waale the naa? Aaye kyun nahin? I'm waiting for you, sweetheart.", said Ria.

Mayank sighed and said, "Sorry Ria! Par aaj main nahin aa sakta."

"Koi problem hain kya? Are you alright?", Ria asked concernedly.

"I'm fine Ria. Don't worry. I just need to stay alone for sometime. Please.", Mayank pleaded.

"Fine Mayank! You stay home and take rest. I'll catch ya later. Take care hun.", said Ria affectionately.

Mayank slightly smiled and said, "Thanks for understanding Ria. Bye."

"Bye. Love you.", said Ria lovingly.

"Hmm!", said Mayank and cut off the call. Ria childishly said to herself, "Ek bar Love you too bhi nahin kaha."

Hanging up the phone, Mayank said to himself, "Aaj Nupur se baat karne ke baad mujhe ehsaas hua ke Nupur baaki sab se bilkul alag hain, bilkul mere jaisi, akeli. Kal usse dekhte hi mere maan mein so baatein aayi thi, woh sab mujhe bhulna hoga. Woh bilkul waisi nahin hain jaisi kal raat mujhe laga tha. Main jaise khud ka dukh bhulaane ke liye apne aap ko kaam aur girlfriends mein busy rakhta hoon, shayad woh bhi meri tarah apna dard bhulaane ke liye raat ko disco jaati hain. Anyways, main Nupur ke saath kuch galat nahin kar sakta. Main uska dil nahin tod sakta. I can't hurt her. But at least, we can be friends and share our pain. Maybe our pain will lessen after that."

Saying that to himself, he went back to the dinning room but didn't find Nupur there. He called out a servant and said, "Nupur kahaan hain?"

The servant said, "Nupur ma'am bahar gayi hain."

"Achanak se?", Mayank said confusingly.

The servant gave a paper to Mayank and said, "Sir, Nupur ma'am ne yeh note choda hain aap ke liye."

"Theek hain, tum jaao.", Mayank ordered.

The servant left. Mayank started reading the note.

Sorry for going so suddenly without letting you know. Woh actually, I was getting late for my singing classes. Will be back in the evening. Oh yeah, I wanted to thank ya for everything you did for me. Thank you so much! Anyways, see ya in the evening.
-Nupur!!😊

Mayank smiled reading the note and said sweetly, "I'll wait for ya, Nupur!"

While Mayank was going to his room, he stopped in front of Nupur's room as his room was beside hers. He was shocking seeing the room in a mess condition. He went inside.

He stared the floor of the room and immediately called out a servant. A servant came in and Mayank ordered him to clean up the room. The servant nodded and started cleaning.

While going out from the room, Mayank's eyes spotted a brown-colored diary on the bed. He walked to the bed and picked up the diary. On the diary was written, "Ajeeb Si Meri Zindagi". At the right bottom corner of the diary was written, "Nupur Bhushan!"

"Yeh shayad Nupur ki diary hain. Par isska title aisi.. I mean.. Nupur ke life mein aisa kya ajeeb hain?!" He took the diary with him and went to his room.
