'Mausam' is very close to my heart

Mumbai, July 8 (IANS) Actor Shahid Kapur says he is sentimentally attached to his actor father Pankaj Kapur's directorial debut "Mausam".

Speaking at a function here Friday night, the actor said that apart from playing the lead role in the film, he has helped in every way to make the film as appealing possible.

"It's a film that's very close to my heart. It's a film, which we made as a family together. It's a film where I have given one and half years of my life. Of course wherever I am required for the film I am there," Shahid told reporters at a promotional shoot of a car music system company Pioneer, which he helms as the brand ambassador for the last three years.

Releasing Sep 16, "Mausam" is a love story where actress Sonam Kapoor plays the lead opposite Shahid.

Two other films - Imran Khan's "Meri Brother Ki Duhlan" and Ranveer Kapoor's "Rockstar"-were initially scheduled to release Sep 9. However, "Rockstar" release has been postponed to Nov 11.

Shahid is happy that all the three films are not releasing at the same time.

"All the three films were supposed to release at the same time and I am happy that it's not happening so because that's not good for the business," said Shahid.

"Imran's and Ranbir's film are coming and I am curious how their films are. Around the same time 'Mausam' is also coming and I hope people enjoy all the three films," he adds.

This is one of my most awaited movies of the year! The pictures are just fabulous. I really hope it lives up to the hype and my expectations. Waiting for the promo now :D

hard on this movie , he haven't even signed any other movie just to concentrate only on that one, i hope his efforts pay off😃

whens the trailer releasing again?..shouldnt it be like any day now? Or is it coming out with the release of ZNMD?

^It goes online on the 11th..and officially releases in theaters with ZNMD.
