"(We are) very much like brother and sister... We would help each other with relationship advice, particularly funny were the moments when we would help each other compose texts to the most recent flames in either of our lives," magazine quoted as per he says
'Harry Potter' star had arrived at the school in 2009 to pursue a degree in History but had recently announced that she was putting her studies on hold, claiming she could not juggle college with her acting commitments.
But the reason behind the decision was the constant jibes faced by the 21-year-old, reported a media house.
"When she spoke in class, they would respond with a quote from Harry Potter. The most popular choice was, 'Three points for Gryffindor'," said a source.
Gryffindor is one of the competing houses at Hogwarts, the franchise's school of wizardry.
Watson's peers at the university in Rhode Island also used catch phrases from the film to humiliate her when she took part in college activities.
Watson, who is worth an estimated USD 17 million announced last month that she was putting her studies at the institution on hold.
"I will still be working towards my degree, it's just going to take me a semester or two longer than I thought," she wrote on her website.
It has been claimed that she is planning to leave Brown and transfer to another university, possibly in New York.
Watson, who played the role of 'Hermione Jean Granger' of Harry Potter, was generally dressed in a school uniform in the Hollywood flick.
Now at the age of 21, ask Watson who played the character and she says that dressing up is quite a difficult task.
She prefers a 'less is more' approach but says that it is difficult to look age appropriate, reports say.
"I try to dress age-appropriately, which isn't actually that easy when obviously high-end clothing is designed for women who are older than I am" Watson said.
"It's a fine line to tread between looking smart and looking ready to go on a red carpet but also looking like I'm 21. It's quite difficult" she added.
Watson who is the face of Lancome cosmetics has been heavily involved in the advertising campaign.
"It's funny, the guys at Lancome were like, 'You need to be directing, Emma.' I had ideas about every aspect. I'm sure I drove them insane. I was involved in the concept for the ad and the tag line, 'Catch my heart if you can'," she said.
"The hat in the ad was my hat, which I bought at a flea market in Paris. I was very involved in the script. It's been really fun for me" Watson added.
