Why Mona keeps on lying to her family to defend Ambaji. Mona's parents raised them she spend all her life with them, she has a long relationship with them, she is lying telling them that Anu wanted to give the car. Why can't see keep quiet and let Ambaji say whatever she wants.

Mona making excuses for Ambaji is pathetic..why Mona is so scared of Amba that she has lost herself and her honesty, she comes across as doormat.

It seems that only reason Mona was born is to please Ambaji, God put her on this earth to be a grovelling servant of tyrant Amba. As a woman I am ashamed of Mona's grovelling.

I think here Mona wants to handle the situation..rather than satisfying ambaaji..her character itself is always interfering in all the things and talking a lot...

I agree to an extent, but it is not her situation, she has no control over it and she didn't make it, she should just keep quiet instead of lying and saying it was Anu's idea to gift the car. Like an obedient servant she is trying serve Ambaji..Why would she do this because she is afraid even to breath if this makes Ambaji unhappy...totally pathetic.

I can't get angry at her. Mona is just another self-sacrificing heroine who do anything to please her mother-in-law. I have seen this on so many tv shows. Doesn't matter how much grief it would cause her parents and her husband, she will agree with the mother-in-law.
I have feeling deep down Mona knows it is wrong and is lying in order to justify it.

I wouldn't call her a servant, but that's Mona character trait that she always wants to help other's out whichever way she can. But I agree Mona needs to learn to stay away from things and let others solve them. She should have supported Anu knowing very well her husband feelings were attached to the car. We all bash Anu for not supporting Mona but what about Mona who has always put family first then husband.

Why ...

Her parents didn't bring her up to be a Ambaji personal servant to further Ambaji agenda and have no self respect and no opinions.

Mona has totally lost her voice and personality, why she has to support Ambaji, she should have stayed at home and let Baa and Ambaji do whatever they want, but she is so scared and powerless that she jumps when Amba order her and asks how high..

Mona is not brought up to be Ambaji bahu, she should have stuck with Goldie, his parents wouldn't have put her through this torture on daily basis. In Gandhi house she is scared to breath ..

Mona will always support her mother-in-law, no matter what. Even if she doesn't agree with it, she will still support Ambaji. I have come to accept that from all heroines in these types of shows.
Luckly it just a car. It could be worse, it could be her son - like Pavitra Rishta. Poor Archana, CV's have destoryed her. Let's hope Mona doesn't experiance a similar fate.

It's not that she's scared or is a doormat, it's that she's trying to keep her husband's respect in front of her parents. Suppose if she had said Anukalp didn't come because he didn't want to give the car and was forced to give the car. What respect would be left of her husband's family? And she didn't have to say anything yes, but she had to say something because she was the person being questioned about her own husband.

mona is trying to please everyone. if she says she doesn't want to give the car...can you imagine what bharti will do.
once bharti decides something she doesn't give a chance to anyone to even offer an opinion. it's her way or the highway.
