Despite being the cynosure of everyone's eyes, Shobhna is ill-treated by her step-mother Indumati. Everyone, including the palace servants feel bad at the ill-treatment of Shobhna .

Indumati ill-treats Shobhna but starts showing concern on spotting Dadda Chalukya. Shobhna is surprised to see the sudden change in Indumati's behavior.

Indumati's brother Bhanuman plans to take advantage of Vallabhdev's visit to Bharuch. He plans to overthrow Vallabhdev and assures Indumati that Vallabhdev will crown Kirit Chalukya as the king of Bharuch.

Gayatri Devi visits the subjects of Punjab escaping the wrath of Mahmood Ghaznavi.

Shobhna also follows Gayatri Devi without getting noticed. Gayatri Devi orders her courtiers to help the subjects.

Gayatri Devi is shocked after learning about Kasabpura's Queen Pushpalatha, who was also robbed by Mahmood Ghaznavi. She also learns that when King Padam Pal refused to accept Islam, Mahmood Ghaznavi killed him. Gayatri Devi invites Pushpalatha to live at the Bharuch palace.

Shobhna learns from Gayatri Devi that they could not punish Mahmood Ghaznavi since the kings of the neighboring regions are not united.

Gayatri Devi is surprised when Shobhna declares that she will save her country from Mahmood Ghaznavi.

On the other hand, Mahmood Ghaznavi decides to sack Somnath temple in his next expedition to India.
