Part VII
Maan and Adi were at dinner together. While Adi was continuously talking about anything, Maan on the other hand was busy thinking on how to approach Adi..."What should I tell him or rather how should I tell him? I said yes to Geet that I will help her but didn't think if Adi would agree with me or not. Knowing him, he would probably have a heart-attack. So far, I only told him that I asked Geet out on a date but left out other "minor" details. Think Maan, you are MD of KC, making a plan should be easy for you."
Adi: Maan...Maan! (He calls his name to get his attention..Maan looks at him with a big charming smile..Adi roles his eyes) ok tell me
Maan: Tell you what?
Adi: I know you are up to something..
Maan: No, I am not
Adi: Yes, you are. You don't think I know
Maan ("how did he find out about my idea?") know what?
Adi: That something is cooking in your brain. I haven't figured out what exactly, yet...(Maan sighs in relief) At first, I thought you are being nice and taking me out to lunch rather then going back to your work but then you decided to take me out to dinner as well. That is when I knew you are thinking of something...now tell me what is it.
Maan: Ok so I asked Geet out on a date
Adi: Yeah I know that
Maan: but..umm
Adi: just tell me..I can't wait anymore
Maan: She asked me for a favor and I asked for a date in return
Adi: What kind of favor?
Maan: She wants to get a job in the accounting department at KC
Adi: What? What are you going to do? She is going to find out the truth
Maan: umm I came up with a plan
Adi: What kind of plan?
Maan: Well..I will work in the accounting department with Geet
Adi: Ok..but you are the MD...who is going to take care of that (Maan looks at Adi with a smile...) YOU WANT ME TO DO WHAT! (he understood..Adi gets up to go..)
Maan: Come on Adi, please help me...
Adi: Maan this is going too far..and I am being stuck in the middle. Today, I am Adi, tomorrow, I am MSK, I don't know who I am going to be the day after tomorrow...
Maan: This is the last time. this is my only chance to get to know her better, if I work with her closely.
Adi: Or you could tell her the truth
Maan: if I tell her the truth now, she will not talk to me. I don't want her to think I am a fraud or I was making fun of her...please Adi..for your only friend..
Adi (sighs): fine..but I don't even know ABC of how to act like you.
Maan: Don't worry, I will teach you how to act, talk and walk like me..come on let's go I have to start your training right now
Adi: I know I am going to regret this later (he mumbled to himself as they both got into the car to drive to KC)

Maan: Adi what are you doing? You are acting like a crack-headed version of me...(Maan was teaching Adi, how to glare at his employees with anger that could make anyone pee in their pants but what Adi was doing was just opening his eyes really wide that looked like he is on something and can't blink to save his life)
Adi: What do you want me to do? You told me to show anger...I am doing the way you are doing it...
Maan: ok, here let me show you again...like this
Adi:(again tried it.but couldn't master the staring...Maan sighs) I told you I can't do it...
Maan: Ok, lets see...how about if one employee questions you...You do this:
You see, not only you have angry eyes but you are also saying "You dare to question MSK"...it always work...no one after will dare to look in your eyes..ok so here let me do it again (he does it with the finger and showing anger in the eyes) got it? (Adi nodes) Now you try (Adi squints his eyes and raises his finger...) What are you doing? Why are you squinting your eyes?
Adi: because that's what you did.
Maan: Since when did I squint? Adi you are really testing my patience
Adi: I told you...you will be better off telling her the truth
Maan: no, no I can't do that..let me think...ok this might be easy for you...(Maan walks back and fourth in front of Adi) ok so let's say, you had an important meeting to attend and one of your employee messes up the file or didn't do what was asked to do (Adi nodes his head...Maan comes up to Adi with anger...Adi moves back) "I don't pay you guys to mess up...if you can't do your work properly then leave" (he says in MSK tone..while Adi looks at him with fear..Maan smiles...) see that's what you have to do...exactly what I did..but make sure after you say your dialog...stare at the person for at least 5 seconds to let them know you are serious...but make sure you say it with anger and authority...you have to let them know who is in charge...now you try
Adi (goes up to Maan and leans close to him...he opens his eyes really wide...): I don't pay you to just stand around..go and do your work!
Maan: Good..but you still need to work on your eyes...ok so on to the next thing...
"I don't know what else is there to do...Good thing I don't work with him at KC or else I would've been dead meat...I feel so bad for his employees..I didn't know being him would be so hard...please help me god...I never asked you for anything but now I am asking...save me from Maan..."
Maan (came back to him...): Ok, so now you learned how to talk like MSK, now you have to learn how to walk and sit like me..ready..now pay close attention to my facial expressions and the way I sit...(he sits down) You have to be angry for disturbing your thoughts (Guys I tried putting up a picture but wasn't able to just imagine Maan siting in his office, with one leg crossed over the other
(Adi tries it) See how I crossed my legs and sat in a way which lets them know I don't like to be disturbed but still have anger on my face that is the key. Its all about style you see.
Adi: What if they just came to ask me a question
Maan: hmm ok...you have to put on a look and sit in a way as if you are interested in what they have to say but at the same time you are mad because they couldn't do their work properly...you just lean back in the chair and look at the person straight in the eye but make sure you give angry glare..like the first expression I showed you (Maan looks at Adi with disappointment) ugh Adi you really need to work on your expressions...you look like you are on crack
Adi: I am trying...I can't do it
Maan: how about at the end you take my pictures of the expressions..you can go home and try them...
Adi: So we are done for tonight?
Maan: No, there is still a lot to learn...so where were we..ohh yeah employees...
Adi: I have a question..what if someone did good? How would I praise them?
Maan "praise? I dont' think I did that to any employees..": ohh yeah..praise...you just smile like this...and say "hmm" and walk off in my style but make sure you don't smile too much...remember you have to be tough..so they don't take advantage of you
"Agar yeh hassi thi, toh main 23 saal se kya kar raha tha?"
Maan: Ok, now you have to walk like me...(He gets up and walks..) Now you try (Adi starts to walk as if he is speed walking...) Adi puts your arms down..(Adi does..and starts walking again like Maan..) You don't have enough attitude..you have to let everyone know you are here...if you walk like that..no one will be afraid of you...here let me show you again...(Maan walks) You see as you walk..move your arms little bit as you walk...and look at everyone with angry glare...(like this) Everyone will be out of your way then...when you stop after your entrance go straight to your cabin..without looking at anyone...and IF anyone stops you in that process...put your hands on your hips like this..and stare them down they will forget everything and will get out of your way
"Is he teaching me to be MSK or to be Mogambo from Mr.India? I am sure growing up Mr. India must've been his favorite movie.."
Adi: Ok, I think I got it..anything else?
Maan: you need my clothes..here (he takes out clothes and gives it to Adi)
Adi: What are you going to tell your employees?
Maan: I thought about that already..I Will tell them I am doing this new simulation..where I will pretend to be an employee in order to "observe" everyone's natural habitat around the office while someone else will fill in the shoe of MD..everyone will call both of us as sir...anything else?
Adi ("natural habitat? He is talking as if he is the lion in the jungle watching his pray really closley..what have I got into") : NO...when do I start?
Maan: I will tell you when...for now...you go home and practice my expressions and remember even if you forget everything just do the angry glare .ohh yeah..you have to take my pics so that you can look at them and practice in the mirror and while you are at it, record my walk too...so you can practice both when you go home.
Meanwhile, while Adi was taking Maan's pics, his Dadima was walking by his room and was shocked to see Maan posing in front of Adi. She almost had a mini heart attack seeing Maan like this. "Hey bhagwan, yeh kya ho raha hai? Kya Maan modeling karne ki soch raha hai? Then what will happen to KC?"
Adi: Ok...bye "You wanted to help him right? now help him...what was the need to come in the middle giving him advises..now you are stuck pretending to be MSK...hey bhagwan help me..."
Precap: Geet I got you an interview at KC...
