Thank You, Zenn..
I would not like to bring in everyone, Dear..and let me present my view as to why YM goes unnoticed most of the time...No doubts , she is a capable actor..in fact she is one of the better actor across TV industry..An actor blessed with expressive eyes and one who uses it too..The reason why she is not noted acc to me is bec of two factors...One she is pitted against a natural performer and much more talented than her ..whose screen presence is magnified than her's..
Second is her ebullience... she needs to know when to be over the top and when to be restrained..Most of the time, she simply goes overboard while her counter part will be a picture of understatement...case in point , y'days dining scene..Shaan/KT will be using his face to express and the flow will be smooth, flowing ..whereas if u watch Khanak..Her emotions will come out in jerks..and her hand movement will be that of an juvenile girl [whereas she has to portray a mature girl] ...when just expressions will suffice, she adds movements too..that detracts from her acting rather than add to it ..strictly MY POV...!!
Although I will not dispute that she has got talent...she has not yet learnt how to utilize it...experience will teach her and she will become a formidable actor over time..and as an added bonus, she is one unselfconscious actor..😊
Hey Tanthya!
Would like to put forth my 2 cents on the topic being discussed...
IMO, the first point where I differ is in the reading of Khanak...she is not suppose to essay the role of a woman who is mature beyond her years...she is simply suppose to play her age!
Within that brief of Khanak, her ebullience comes with the territory!

Case in point...the 'paathshaala' scenes are legendary largely due to the same child like glee on display by Khanak...
Those scenes on the surface, may not require heavy duty histrionics, but IMO, is an extremely intricate tight rope walk...if Khanak had gone even a wee bit overboard, the beauty of the scenes would have been completely ruined!
Will cite another example...yesterday's dining table scene, itself...
Just as Shaan did have his moments, the 'Pappi mahaan hai' moment was borderline hamming!
In fact, the moment that stood out for me in an otherwise rather ordinary sequence, was the blink and you miss it moment, when Khanak after hearing out Pappi's 'light lunch' request, simply looks up questioningly at Shaan...beautiful, natural emoting that was by Yashu!👍🏼👏
However, given these facts, will agree, there are moments when Khanak's 'chirpiness' could do with some toning down...especially her "hai na"/"huun" moments or forced smiles sometimes, which do seem saccharine sweet at times...
Now, the second point, where there is a difference of opinion...
As to whether KT is clearly the better actor, as seems to have been suggested...
IMO, the answer is in the negative!

And, pray why??!!
KT may be the more evolved of the two...his improvisations may be brilliant...but, the SRK and sometimes Salman Khan influences erode some of his most nuanced performances!!
Right from simple gesticulations...like twitching of the chin to the tilt of the head during his glances...its all a huge SRK impersonation!!
And by this simple logic, no actor can have a landslide edge with such glaring shortcomings!!!
Hence, moral of the story😆, IMO...both Yashu and KT are fabulous actors...no two ways about it!!
Both individually and together, they have given us some of the most exemplary screen moments, big screen included...
But both of them also have a long way to go vis-a-vis their craft!
Will conclude with yesterday's epi...a nondescript one, frankly!
But your analysis...defo making it postworthy! :)
The only moment that stood out for me really...
When Shaan and Khanak are busy making their 'Dhulwadi mobile', and have exhausted all the matchboxes, Shaan asks Khanak to get some more...
Khanak gives him a glare, and Shaan in response 'cajoles' her with a "Please...I love you" bait!!😆
Very hubby-wifey thing that...very subtly portrayed too! 👏
