Hi,

I need some help. I used to be such a movie buff until a couple of years ago buy lately most of the movies that are released are not even so good. Yeah there are a few exceptions but nothing like before where every other movie that used to come out was good or really good, I miss those years.

Could you recommend movies that are worth watching? All genre's except for horror. I prefer movies that I can watch with my whole family.

I've watched so many from the 60's to mid 2000's but hey wouldn't mind watching some of the good old ones again plus there are sooo many good ones that I couldn't have seen them all. I have a huge collection of VHS from my dads that have really good movies pre 1990's and I added a whole bunch from the 90's and 2000's .

Any good movies you'd recommend, they could even be your favorites.

I really don't have a favorite top 10. I like all genre's except for horror (exception being Raaz as it wasn't that scarry).

Chaalbaaz

Naukar Biwi Ka

Khudha Gawah

Majority of the ones listed above I have them at home.

Basically any movie that is a good watch with a family, can be a thriller, romance, comedy but no horrors at all please.

If you havnt seen Jab We Met/Love Aaj Kal i think you'd probably like it.

Band Baaja barat is probs another romance film you'd like most people seem to.

Wake up Sid is not bad either.

Oye Lucky Lucky Oye is a really good all rounder and its taken really well. Kaminey, Dev.D, Ishqiya, Dobi Ghat, Udaan, Luck By Chanse are good alternative films perhaps not really 'family' oriented though.

i recommend Jab We Met, 3 idiots, Socha Na Tha, Once Upon A Time in Mumbia, and Band Baaja Barat from recent times.

Also Om Shanti Om has an old film vibe too it. I think it's a fun movie to watch with family.

Once Upon a Time has violence and drugs ect because its about a Don, so I don't know if you want to watch that with your family. But for me, It was okay to watch with family.

Thanks. Haven't seen Love Aaj Kal, Band Baaja Barat, Wake Up Sid, Ishqiya, Dhobi Ghat, Udaan and OATIM yet.

I'm starting a list now of what yet to watch. Any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Saw wanted a couple days ago for the first time and loved it. I'm not sure if you've seen mujhse dosti karoge, but that ones good. Thank you was pretty good. Hum Saath Saath hai, my all time fav! :) And you don't seem to have dil to pagal hai on the list.

In my opinion, you should watch Ishqiya, Dhobi Ghat, and Love Aj kaal later. These are not your typical bollywood movies...and from your list most of the movies you listed are entertaining good old bollywood movies. I think you will like OUATIM a lot.

But that's just my suggestion. :)
