Hey folks.

I dont come to this side of IF much or any side actually cos I am tired of the double standard nature prevalent here but that is another story in itself...or maybe its connected...draw your own conclusions. :)

Anyway, what I am here for is to get some questions answered...hope you dont mind because I could have checked the FAQs and the various rules and regulations of IF but they dont really make much sense to me when seen with the actions prevalent here.

So here goes...

Question 1. Does IF allow the use of abuses and derogatory language for actors? For ex. Is calling an actor a 'wench' acceptable by IF rules?

Question 2. If the answer to the above question is a resolute 'No!', then is the 'No' only limited to certain actors while certain others are kept out of this extremely privileged section? That is, I can call Jennifer Winget a 'wench' but cannot extend the same language to lets say...I dont know whom because I dont use such language for anyone...

Question 3. Is there any provision of action against habitual offenders of IF rules (which I am assuming include the issues covered by the above two questions) or are they let off with the self belief that not only do they own IF but the other members here are in some way below them?

Question 4. What does a member need to do to get banned if there any such provision at all that is? Calling an actor a 's**t', 'wh**e', 'man-wh**e' or members their 'lovers' obviously doesnt do the trick...

Question 5. Are certain high above members allowed to completely victimize certain other members and unnecessarily butt in in their posts and post flames and yes, go scot free after that?

Question 6. How can a group which has described itself as a place where actors can be 'criticized' (read bashed) incessantly be ALLOWED to exist (quoting topic maker's intro post to the said topic) where extremely colorful language like 'wench' is used?

So there are 6 questions...not expecting much answer though, at least from the authorities here but yes expecting this topic to become a battle ground and some personal insults and then this topic getting closed...so yeah, cheers.

its basically ppl are so jobless that they go around bad mouthing and bashing celebs everywhere!!
And pass disgusting filthy comments in the name of criticism!
High times mods take action Against such ppl!
And little did I know that even a fan club was opened to abuse celebs!!

Yes, the above questions ATLEAST needs to be answered though

there are a lot more of such kind.

Expecting some answers from concerned authorities.

I was also shocked to know certain clubs are being opened where the members can bash actors and their personal lives to no extent.And apparently, permission has been granted by the 'authorities'.I would like to know who those authorities are and why would they grant permission for such a thing.

Husna same here,I also want to know the Moderators who encourage such unhealthy bashing!!
And the member with the user name who made the thread keeps passing ridiculous/Derogatory comments and still action hasn't been taken against him/Her!

thanks for making this topic rae! i completely agree that its unacceptable that we keep on having to hear bad language against our favourite actors and i don't understand why people can't stop insulting actors they don't like. If you don't like an actor, you can just keep quiet instead of constantly bashing them! And no one is below anyone on IF, we've just come here to support people who we admire and love and we should be able to do that without others constantly arguing! We're all equal and no one should feel that they are allowed to victimize other members just because they are 'higher', and if they do, then the same rules should be applied to them as for other members, they should be banned!

LMAO 🤣 I got much better things to do in my life than to bother about some name calling for these Goddam actors or actresses. I doubt the celebrities themselves care as much for these name calling than do their fans 😆 But I guess thats why these people are called "fans" 😕

hope u get all your answers but i dnt think u will get bcoz IF do loadsss of discrimination they dnt stick 2 der own rules n regulation people keep on bashing other actors n they dnt get a single warning frm mod this shows mod too r on their favour n pretend 2 be blind for some actors n for their fav they closed the topic if we have started bashing 😆

Well this is another problematic area since many of you get confused with how is criticism different from discussion. Constructive criticism means criticism or advice that is useful and intended to help or improve something, often with an offer of possible solutions DO NOT call it criticism if all you are doing is posting snide remarks on an actor's looks or personal life. That is not considered critical from any point. Also, to those who cannot take a single thing being said against their favourite character please learn and respect that everyone has different views from each other. Just like you would not go reporting the littlest nuisance to a police officer and would probably ignore it. Apply the same method here. Ignore what you don't like. Furthermore, when we have discussions going on, there are bound to be two opposing sides and since India-Forums is based on DISCUSSIONS you will find a lot of people who are on the opposite end of the spectrum so don't fret over every little detail they post and don't get hurt over what they think is right. However, please note that ANY criticism containing foul or vulgar language will be dealt with severity.

Personal attacks on members

There are a growing number of public personal attacks on a number of people. Please refrain yourself from using expressions or language in posts that are considered foul, vulgar, hateful, bigoted, sexually harassing, racially offensive, or are in any way discriminatory. Calling people lesbians and uncles can be considered discriminatory and actions will be taken against those who will continue use of such language after this rules post comes in action. It doesn't matter how much you dislike somebody there is absolutely no reason for you to go on an attacking spree against them and disrupt the environment of the forum. Please always remember that our COC states, "Making posts that personally attack, insult, threaten, harass or are clearly disrespectful of the opinions of other participants. Keeping that in mind, personal attacks will be dealt with severity.

Bashing Actors / Characters

Okay so the waters here are a little tricky. We do realize that not everyone loves the same actors as others and some probably don't like any actors at all. However, we do have a lot of people who love these people as much as they love themselves. We are not asking you start loving an actor just because someone else does it but we would request you to be a little considerate of other people's opinions and do not post insulting or instigating posts. Express your opinions in a timely fashion so that the atmosphere or the forum remains harmonious.

Anyone violating these rules will be dealt with severity. These rules are not that hard to follow in fact we would not even call them rules.
