It's very hard to define their feelings. As I've said before, Gulaal has boxed herself up so much that she doesn't realize what she wants herself. But any normal woman in her situation would react in a similar way. She has seen Kesar as a child, she promised Talli that Kesar would be hers and she's also stuck in the past with Vasant.

I think subconsciously she feels that there is something more between them but it's such a wild thought to have. She feels possessive over his gifts and has felt jealous too but these are emotions she brushes away.

I wanted to close my eyes when Gulaal starts pulling him by the collar and slapping him, but then, I had to see how he would react and the look in his eyes was sublime... he is discovering himself, the needs of his soul... he craves for her, he wants her and it couldn't be more simple and exquisite than the way in which he tells her... "Main tujhse pyaar karta hu, Gulaal"...Had it been some other serial, any movie, the melodrama would have made me cringe, but this was plain awesome... kudos to the the entire team for giving us this show... every actor does justice to his role...and given a chance to dream an "unreal" dream, I'd say I'd love to meet Neil Bhatt and Mansi Parekh once :-), gifted people as they are.

I completely agree. They are outstanding actors and they take the scene to a whole new level. When she started slapping him, my eyes just lit up and it was kind of a jittery feeling. But Kesar would just take anything from her, he just stood there allowing her to let out all her emotions. It was surreal and a pure example of unconditional love.

I completely agree Reemz..

It was an extremely powerful scene.. where Kesar found the courage to portray his feelings not allowing himself to falter regardless of Gulaal's reaction.. in fact after her state of shock as the truth of Kesar's confession began to seep in she got violent because he had stated the one thing she could not tolerate nor was she ready to accept such a relationship with the boy she shared a special relationship with.. Loved Kesar's reaction he stood silently it seemed as if he had expected such a reaction.. he looked on waiting for her to let all of her frustration out.. I understand both of their perspectives hence neither one is incorrect.. and I actually found Gulaal's reaction to be acceptable under the circumstances it was necessary for her to show her indifference.. at least until she is capable of seeing Kesar as a man instead of the child he once was... !

Exactly. Both the reactions had their own beauty to it and they were justified. It felt like the more she slapped him , the more convinced he was of his own feelings and nothing could change this. I think it kind of foreshadows the coming track where she will lash out at him but he will just accept whatever she throws at him and that's what is going to make the difference to Gulaal.

LOL@domestic violence hai..hai!!!!!!
I know...a little build up would have been really appreciated. Nevertheless...it was a very well shot scene and moreover there was nothing dramatic about it...it was as I had always saw it happening...Kesar simply confessing what he feels about her and Gulaal giving shocked and hurt expressions (didn't really saw TEN slaps coming though!! :P). I loved how Kesar repeated to her that he loves her.I liked that he was not scared of the possible repercussions...his realization gave him more confidence and fearlessness about it. But when exactly did this realization set in?...would have loved to see it.
I am happy with the length of the scene too...good that they kept it real.
